As a teenager I bowled in a youth scratch league that Shannon Pluhowsky was in. Even back then you could tell she was going to bowl for a living. Andrew Cain was in the same league and probably others that I don't remember.

The PBA televised events displays the ball speed and rev rate after each shot. Why is that not the case with the WPBA ?

Fox and Specto have a partnership with the PBA. The PWBA was televised by CBS sports and no partnership there so no Specto available.

Maria Rodriquez threw the ball pretty good but her ball carry was bad some cause it kept rolling out at the end and didn’t have any continuation.

Interesting that especially on the left lane, I noted that Zavala's ball was hooking and then stopping before it the pins. It was not rolling out. I wonder if that was due to the ball she was using or possibly the drilling pattern.

They had to make mention that her ‘wife’ is pregnant, too. Guess it makes them feel better when they add controversial plugs for propaganda. I’m not prejudice - people can make their choices. But exposing the world to it = any parents with kids watching are left with no choice but to try to explain. Plus, they air their own laundry, but then get upset when someone doesn’t agree with their color scheme. Anyway - like I said - controversial. And they just won’t just refrain.

I like watching all top level bowling but women's bowling feels like it needs some more variety of characters. It feels like every bowler is just the same dead-pan, ultra focused, little to no emotion carbon copy. It is however nice to see some of the new generation hooking the ball a bit more, throwing pins around more often. It is curious that we don't see any 2 handed females yet, perhaps it is too physically demanding? Even the commentators are a bit "flat", someone give them a Red Bull 😁

I agree, I bowl for fun and just joined a practice league but i am a female two hander, lefty at that. I’m not the greatest but I’m getting there, i average about 100-110 a game sometimes i get up to 130-140 but I’m still working at putting everything together.

No, she’s not overrated. Her and Jordan Richard were the only players to cash in all of the events this year. Shannon also won 1 title and never finished lower than 7th in any of the tour stops.

Pluhowsky has a nice lefty roll. Kinda throws it with revs and rotation like a guy. Kind of like a younger Tish Johnson but with better follow through. Kinda annoying how almost every shot she made well she didn’t like and when she was cool she missed the pocket lol. Anyway either way, I’m a fan!
