I have coached many junior bowlers over the many years, in Ohio, Michigan, Texas and Florida, it is always great to see one of them win at any level, college Regular PBA or Senior!

Rakowski stepped up against a guy who just blew away 3 finalists with something like a 785 series. Some guys might have felt some intimidation. He probably told himself that if he just took care of business and bowled a 300 game, he would win. Well, the 300 didn't happen, but only because of a really unlucky ring 10. A front 9 isn't bad though, and a major win is sure nice consolation for not getting that particular 300. Great bowling by him, and by Bailey, of course.

I totally relate to Andres' physical woes. I too have had issues with the Achilles tendon in my right foot and had to be sidelined five-six weeks.

Contrary to some beliefs, this was quite an exciting stepladder finals. You can comment on the shot being too easy or too hard, but let's face it, it all comes down to consistency and replication of shots. We saw corner pins and nasty leaves when there was a variation in ball speed or execution. Don't take anything away from bowlers that execute and show excellent consistency in their shot making. Congratulations to the finalist and eventual winner, who had a fantastic run.

Well said. I am sure that the oil pattern used here is not the super tough ones you see on the regular tour. That said, you still have to execute and make that shot that is there for you. Obviously, younger guys like EJ Tackett or Anthony Simonson would probably crush these older guys on very hard patterns. But I am not sure they would beat these guys on the PBA50 patterns.

For those staring the pattern was to easy. lol. Ok you try and bowl. I crossed next to Jon the 3 days and it wasn’t easy as you think. Jon just threw it that GREAT! Also, many times you play the house not the pattern. Sam’s town is high friction HPL that has been in use since 1998. Meaning super friction.

Mike Bailey I believe is from California originally. And as I remember him back then a lefty, heavy set youngster then

Sam’s Town can be a shot easy to get to thr pocket but hard to carry those back pins!

bowling and pool are getting outrageous about everything being dead silent. these guys been bowling all their lives and sorry to say , if you get distracted by a phone or any noise in the background you shouldn't be a professional in a sport with a live audience
