Correct. SABAs (albuterol/levalbuterol) will not help the wheezing in bronchiolitis.

Hello! I study medicine in Finland and in our main reference book it says that adding a lateral projection on the thx-xray does not increase the specificity or sensitivity in diagnosing a child's pneumonia. But is it adequate to take both projections if the patient is wheezing and the diagnosis is thought to be bronchiolitis?

Hello Dr, what are your thoughts in hypertonic NaCl 3% as a treatment for bronchiolitis? It is suposed toreduce the peribronchiolar edema through oncotic pressures and works fine in the hospital where I practice.

Hypertonic nebs can cause bronchoconstriction due to irritation. Fluids and cool mist or moist oxygen is usually enough to moisten and thin secretions.
