I wish you included cholesterol to HDL ratio as a value for determining the real level of hypercholesterolemia, i noticed some labs include this value to adequately assess if there is an alarming high cholesterol levels even though it may appear elevated if taken by itself but when calculated with the high level of HDL in a ration form the value becomes within normal range and no medication should be started. I hope you have inquiry about that.

I some times see patients with very high triglycerides more than thousands not controlled on fibrates wat should i do ? Ur videos are very helpfull plz keep it up

Get a serum protein, UA, renal function tests, and a liver panel. A common cause of refractory hypertriglyceridemia is hypoalbuminemia which can be due to kidney or liver disease.
