The fact that you explain this so easily and I finally understand torque whereas I've read multiple different things online that just confused the hell out of me, is astonishing, thank you.

Excellent trick! Amazing stuff! Thanks!

The method is good, but don't forget the angle... If the angle is not 90 degrees then the torque you measure is smaller since only the normal component of the force generates the torque. So if you use this method, you need to pull in the perpendicular direction to the wrench.

I don't understand how he came up with 16 pounds to get 8 pounds what is the formula for torque can you explain
@zigen99992 жыл бұрын
@@lesliedaisley7846 I think the way he did it was the wrench was 7 inches. He used the fish scale on the 6 inches mark. Originally it should be 1 foot and 1 foot is 12 inches. Half of it is 6 inches and if he needs 8 pounds you need to double the force. So it's 16 lbs on 6 inches mark on that wrench. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

not doing this doing good and tight method

What about doing it by feelings? Can't we tell when something is good and snug? Sorta like using our 6th sense called common sense? I've been tightening things for years this way and never had anything come loose. Thanks
