Explained in the description. But he says the puck was way out of her reach. It wasn’t. The goalie’s right glove deflected the puck’s trajectory significantly. It was still going to miss. But it wasn’t even slightly out of her reach, much less “way out”.

I can’t even see the puck in this blurry ass video 🤷♂️ Also, it’s called a “blocker”

He said the shot was “way off” when the goalie blocked it. So the commentator was kinda clowning on her shot.

@@scottdesilets6147 Yeah, the resolution of their KZbin stream isn’t great. Then it’s made worse by my not having a way to capture directly; I have to point my phone at the TV. Far from optimal. Fact remains that I was able to see the puck trajectory change, even with the compression artifacts, etc., & the commentator could not, with what I would expect to be a much clearer view. It’s unsurprising, though. They can’t have a lot of money for commentator salaries, given that most ad breaks don’t have any ads, and every power play causes (forces) this dude to recite the most ridiculous sponsorship message I’ve ever heard. It’s laughable.

@@macswallace2109 That could also be a factor, but I have my doubts. I think it’s more likely that with the incredible visual & mental workload involved, he saw where the shot originated, saw where it ended up, but did not see the path between, & just inferred the approximately straight line from stick to glass.
