It will read CD-RW, it just needs CD-RW+ or -, do not remember which, but only one variety. I had 7895RB around 2003 and it liked only one type odf CD-RW, it was mentioned somewhere in the manual.

Question hopefully you can help me out...can i hook up that Alpine PXA-H701 to any aftermarket head unit with RCAs or is it only through head units with the Ai-net cable
