I like spotify as i can just click on the like button and have over a thousand songs now that i actually like and play them on random, so its like a personal radio without being forced to listen to the megastars of the moment who don't interest me no matter how much other people fawn over them. And its album tracks and singles. Its funny hearing a ballad next to a random 90s dance track.I still look out for good new music, its still great to listen to a good album/cd also. Not that you asked for my opinion of Spotify lol, hanging out for Closer by Kim Wilde :) seeing her live in Adelaide this week, can't wait. Mid 50s is still young :-/

I also want to love this company not only for the fact that they have a few great plugins in there lineup , but also for the fact that its a smaller company. But the whole CPU issue is something that's hard to ignore.. If an i7 - 6 core computer is having trouble with there plugins they need to change something up fast , other wise there going to be known as the unusable CPU hungry plugins. Also having there plugins cost less then the average plugin is not the work around for this issue ... Not everyone has the latest M3 Max or intel i9 14900k Processor.. Just my opinion

Great Video as usual! In compression its Pulse Width Modulation not wave 😁 Sorry I'm a nerd.

The Waves Kramer version is my go-to drum compressor and nothing about this review makes me feel the need to replace it
@anthonylee33113 күн бұрын
It's not often I disagree with you fine gentlemen, but in this case, I have to sing the praises of Pythor. Firstly, I've not had any of the glitching you mention in the EQ, works fine for me on my Mac Studio Max (with Ventura). The compressor, for me, is a revelation. I've been hoping that a software compressor could create that lovely rounding & softening of the transients, as well as tuck in the low end - in a way that we talk about analog gear affecting the sound in a 'musical' (pleasing) way. That's what I hear when I put this thing on a drum bus. In addition (and it's a very nice addition), it draws out the details and seems to glue it all together, giving an added sense of depth. Hopefully, you get the picture, I love it - despite having most stuff and trying (almost) everything else, I will add this in for it's nice analog vibe.

It’d be nice to see some reviews on some other manufacturers like McDSP, Sonimus, Hornet and Black Rooster. Online their plugins never seem to get a fair crack of the whip

Never tried the original but been using the waves version quite a bit. Tested this one against the waves and the Pythor just doesn't compare. I'd stay away from it. Thanks for the video guys..

I love this compressor. Sounds so warm and fat. Tone empire plugins just do it for me.

I recently tried the official Trident plugins as I am infatuated with all things Trident. I found the two standard eq's a bit meah, but LTS Triathalon quite cool and useful, definitely worth a look.
