Pike is fun is Wild Rift but like you said, the early game is so important and that gap it so much shorter. Still great though for that roam but you have to hit those hoooks.

I am a high Emerald Support and I struggle against the Pyke Matchup. They usually carry every game. I have been banning pyke every game for last 2 months.

Play as him a few times -- you'll come to understand his many exploitable weaknesses. If you hit level 6 and you haven't died to Pyke yet you've already outscaled lol

How do you tell whether it’s a game where you greed for those early kills, or spoon feed those early kills to your ADC? I duo as Pyke with my ADC in low elo, and games tend to last a bit longer than Pyke would like… is it more beneficial in a game with a scaling enemy to just spoon feed the team?

I'm an emerald pyke main - would still consider myself "mid elo" so other's can have differing/better opinions. The early kills are the ones to spoon feed. Pre-6 I'm giving all the kills to my adc. Increased damage items for their ranged autos are much more impactful at that point in the game than any item I can buy. An early dirk is fun, but post durability patch from several seasons ago and post mythic items - you're not one shotting anyone pre-6. After 6 I tend to be a little more selfish. I'll grab swifties or the void boots (depending on game state) and start looking to roam to get some kills with my ulti. This is twice as effective if you've given your adc those early kills so they can sit in lane 1v2 (sometimes even winning those fights) while you help our your mid and gank with your jungler.
