I think the Pyle dynamic mics all use the same dynamic cartridge, from the $10 model to their $80 models.

Have a Pyle drum mic set. I think it sounds good.

Sounded like these R42s shined brightest when recording guitar and had a more vintage sound when picking up drums. They did seem to peak just a bit when recording set esp. w/cymbals (liked the transformer effect cymb) maybe it was the gain, maybe it was the room? It was harsher w/ the P plosives. Maybe a pop filter would cut this down. W/pop filter, could hear it useful for podcasting. Way better quality than many onboard cell mics. Would like to hear it w/vocals and would be interested in its $58 metal, big brother Mic review. Overall, impressed esp for a $40 Mic. Thanks for this vid!

I actually put a little overdrive on the drums. I wanted them to be grittier and a bit dirtier than they were with the clean signal.
