Hypertrophic Pyloric Stensosis is caused by the thickening of the pyloric muscle resulting in a mechanical obstruction.
Typical presentation 4-8 weeks
Pyloric Stenosis

Sonographic measurement parameters
greater that 0.3 cm muscle thickness
greater than 1.5 cm length

This is phenomenal! One small suggestion if I may, is just as med student breezing through many videos per day, would love if the images had simple labels during the discussion, like "normal" placed above the normal images, etc. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS, these are incredibly helpful for studying!!!

My daughter , now son and also my fiance and all the guys on his side of the family had it. My daughter was the first female to have it . It's very rare in girls and she had it

sigh.. i wish it's as straightforward as this.. but like, ok so u see that and it looks positive don't you need to feed them to check if the fluid goes thru? the view im seeing after the baby is so full that it's lower area.. .. i mean since you fed the baby and fluid went thru so it's just spasm? Not positive right?
