As an XC2 fan, their announcement got me more excited to see content like this where they interact with the rest of the cast than actually playing them. For most Blades, hitting the _glowing weakspot_ would be an instant kill. Pyra and Mythra are not most Blades and can actually survive even if their Core Crystal is severely damaged though they would be severely weakened. As for Snake or Otacon awakening a Driver, it's not guaranteed that it would work. If the resonation fails, the best-case scenario is serious injury, while the worst-case scenario is _instant death._

@@Stanpai If I wanted to be nitpicky, Mythra isn't a second personality, but rather the first. Concerning them becoming Drivers, I already mentioned how it can be dangerous, though their enhancements would probably be able to prevent the worst from happening. Ethically, on the other hand, the entire Blade system is an ethical nightmare. The power dynamic between a Driver and Blade is probably closest to a master and slave, which they are actually compared to in the story. At the same time, the Blades themselves tend to protect their Drivers willingly and instinctually. In extremely rare cases where a Blade is without a Driver, they tend to latch onto the first person they interact with. Independence is not something they were built for. The trinity processor is only revealed in the very last chapter and is considered a spoiler, but not much can be done about that now.

Good thing Snake said no, Otacon didn't mention that without potential to awaken a blade you die right there. I'm willing to assume anyone outside of Xenoblade 2's dimension has a 0% chance. But it would still be really cool to see Blades based off the other fighters as Drivers. ...uh, the lore that some new blades take after their driver in terms of appearance or personality. But blade forms of the other fighters themselves might look cool. ...pfft, Chroma Katana Japanese traditional Steve. 😂 I wonder what Snake would be like... fire... or dark...? Lots of Smash fans get Solid Snake’s personality wrong but you got it spot on, well done! Also there is something minor in these videos that most people wouldn’t notice. The codec portrait you used for Solid Snake is from Mgs1 and Twin Snakes but Smash doesn’t use it for its codec calls, it uses brand new ones that were made to resemble the Mgs2 sneaking suit.

10,000,000 points! You're the first person to finally point this out. Yes- the portrait used reflects his Shadow Moses appearance, which includes the more thermal-insulated sneaking suit with its thicker collar. Brawl features an entirely different one as you are well aware. For my own purposes I have stuck with the original for a few reasons, but no one until now has ever cared enough to point it out. The other key aspect is that I focus on keeping Snake's personality as close to MGS1 as possible, which is among the reasons for this distinction. Thank you for your accurate assessment. You rock!

@@Stanpai Honestly your codec calls are more accurate to the character then the official ones in Smash. Solid Snake in Smash to me has always felt off. That’s probably because they gave him some traits from Naked Snake which would would explain his less serious personality, using skills and weapons that were used in by Naked Snake, some camouflage patterns from Mgs3 which are used for most of the alternate costumes and finally having Naked Snake’s head attached to the Mgs2 sneaking suit which for some reason has some areas miss colored. According to David Hayter, the lines he did for Brawl were recorded around the time they were still doing Mgs4 recording sessions. As a result the voice lines sound almost like Old Snake, it’s very bizarre. If he had recorded lines for Ultimate we probably would’ve gotten something closer to Solid Snake’s Mgs1 or Mgs2 voice which would be more canonically accurate. I got an idea for a Brawl mod a few months ago that’s supposed to change Solid Snake and his codec calls to be as close to the series canon, I’m in the process of coming up with a revamped moveset. Unfortunately I don’t have the talent required to make any Brawl mods yet but I’m trying to learn how to use BrawlCrate which has lots of nice tools. Hopefully I can find some people who know how to make custom Brawl movesets. If it were up to me I would have an option to use the Mgs1 sneaking suit, it’s become less iconic due to the Mgs2 sneaking suit being popularized by Smash. If I can make this mod happen then I’ll definitely try to figure out how to change the codec calls, someone like you who has a good grasp on the character’s personality could heavily improve the dialogue. I’m not sure if it would be possible to get any of the actual voice actors on board but there’s plenty of people who can do good impressions.
