Doc I think this is the best work that you have done. Resolution, framing up shots, no uncomfortable motion, editing and narration great. Spectacular from beginning to end - it’s good to hear you breathing a bit heavy up there. Thank you Thank you for these adventures I hope they continue into the Fall. Ive hiked the valley over to CB several times but have only ‘looked’ up. Appreciate!

You take the anxiety out of finding the trail. You are awesome. I enjoyed every minute of it, especially the G.O.A.T..... The other vids I've watched on this mountain are not equal to yours. You are patient, you find the correct path. You make it look, seem easy this way. I'm 75 yo, do you think I can do it too?

Very impressive! Love that area of Colorado. Seems the mountain goat was either looking for a new housemate in the city or was looking to evict a city dweller from his 14'er pad. Don't think I'd turn my back on him as I think it was the latter. :-)

Amazing Dr. don't know how you do it, can't help but chicken out on those really exposed climbs where my life is in the balance. It really seems to be one of the most beautiful places to hike or climb in that area around Aspen. The mountain goats in the Rockies are interesting creatures when you realize how at home they are up in the mountains and that they see us humans every day of their lives climbing those mountains. They know every bit of the route because they see us do it every day of their lives the exact same way. They could hang out anywhere think they must find us to be curious the reason they hang out on the routes we take up the mountains. Thanks for the video always enjoy them.

Goats like salt....and food. Hence their interest. I'll let you research the rest. If I recall correctly, goats are not indigenous to Colorado.

How committing would you say this route is? Also how sketchy would it be for someone with alpine climbing experience but very little 14'er experience to do by themselves?
@FoorTrek4 жыл бұрын
You surely can turn around anytime, but the scree slope at 12K is where the hike gets serious. Alpine climbing will certainly help, yet the altitude should be taken into consideration.
