Currently paddling a large Ripper 2. Could the ReactR fill any gaps, or is there too much overlap? Thanks!
@WadeHarrisonАй бұрын
The ReactR is definitely a different boat the edges and tail are worth the upgrade. I think a good combo is firecracker 252 and ReactR

I feel like the discussion for a while was how does ReactR compare to the Indra, but after a couple months in the ReactR I feel like the two boats are in different categories: ReactR is a creekboat, while Indra is a river runner half slice, or "quarter slice" like the puffy Steeze. You have more experience with the Indra, would you agree or disagree that the ReactR and Indra are not really in the same category of boat?
@WadeHarrison3 ай бұрын
The reactr is closer to the flow then the Indra in my opinion

Little late on this video, just cracked my gnarvana. I like how the boat paddles but don’t want to buy another. I’m worried about the plastic. Any thoughts on what boat paddles similar or what you would recommend. Thinking about a reactr s or m, Indra m/l, stoke, or scorch m. Looking for a creek boat for class 4/5 water. I’m 6’ 170 pounds. Thanks!
@WadeHarrisonАй бұрын
Pyranha plastic is really good and at your size your in between the s and m rEactR personally I go m but you could rock the small as well

I’m purchasing a Reactr but debating between L vs M! Mostly switching from Scorch d/t carrying comfort rather than performance: long walk-in’s in NZ and my Scorch was a bear/painful ! I tried the medium out and loved it but at weight of 186 lb was considering buying a large but can’t find one to demo before NZ season! I sized up to large Scorch and loved it… was thinking the same might be true of the ReactR!? Would love to hear more feedback on L vs M sizing! I am a little worried about the width, but admittedly didn’t notice it much on the medium even though it’s supposedly wider than my Scorch! Is it dubious to upsize to large for my weight?

Your same size as me trust me the Large will be massive on you and the medium will be spot on and the carry on the reactr is light years better

At 195 im curious what would be the best option here. The large seems big, but id be concerned about loading down the medium if i was doing an overnight trip.
@WadeHarrison3 ай бұрын
Definitely try medium at first I feel your right in between the medium and large
@seanhogan56311 күн бұрын
I'm 195 felt the L was WAY to big. And the M was ideal up to grade 4. Above that it's not super fun.
@Christgoldberg11 күн бұрын
Appreciate the responses. I tried a buddies large and really liked it, but it did have the sweet cheeks in it, so I was definitely up higher and had more control. Haven't had a chance to try a medium yet
@seanhogan56311 күн бұрын
You mind me asking where your seat is, I had mine fully forward in the medium but never got the chance to try anything but back in the large.

Where do you like running your seat in the Reactr?

In the factory position I tried back and forward and seems to paddle best for me In the center

wade are there some foam shims you recommend to raise just thefront part of the seat? i paddled my new medium reactr yesterday and i think slightly raising the front of the seat might help with comfort. thnx.

I use hip pad wedges shims I think those work well slide them up under the seat pad

Almost everyone I know who has paddled the ReacR loves it. I found it all a bit dull. It was a competent boat and surfed well. The ride was high and dry. But…I wasn’t excited by it. Looks like I will be sticking with my scorch, Steeze and firecracker for creeking.
