How did you deal with public transport when hiking in sections? I found it very difficult to find ways of getting back to roads and then there were no buses when doing HRP and GR11
@TheOneGoodRoad25 күн бұрын
Two words. Hitch hike! 😉
@turkeyphant25 күн бұрын
I've hitched around the Pyrénées a bunch but it's harder than other parts of Spain and France.
@TheOneGoodRoad25 күн бұрын
In my experience France is usually quite good for hitchhiking as long as you speak a little bit of French that can help but in Spain... I found it to be one of the most difficult places I've ever hitch hiked in all of my travels as well. 😉

Thanks! After the HRP in 2020 and the GR 11 in 2014 I d like to return on a more customized route, coast to coast. The GR 10 seems obvious, but my French is very bad. Will see. And will look at yout GPS file in more detail.

Hello again. Can you tell me, If i was to walk the GR11 from start to finish, how regular are towns and villages where i could staock up on food supplies? I recently walked the 800km Camino de Santiago, but there i stayed in Albergues and plenty of places to stop for food etc. When i walk the GR11 i would be camping and filtering water etc but i can only carry so much food. Loving this video, excellent work!
@TheOneGoodRoad3 жыл бұрын
In my experience this was every 3-4 days depending on your route 7 days sometimes on the HRP.

@@TheOneGoodRoad Thanks! I may be a bit late to do it this year so will probably plan for Spring 2022. Gives me time to do some good research. After my trip to Val d'Aran, I just can't wait to get to the Pyrenees again. Amazing place! Thanks again.

Hello! Wondering if you have a recommendation for a 10-14 day hike in Pyrenees national park or along GR10, just starting to research and don’t know much as of yet.
@TheOneGoodRoad2 жыл бұрын
It's a very popular region the more obscure the name and less reviews a place has the less popular it is, it depends what your looking for. If your looking for less people HRP and closer to the Spanish border will be fewer people. But the park Néouvielle is very stunning and still with visiting.

I have 4 weeks off so cant really do the whole GR10, what routes would you recommend skipping?
@TheOneGoodRoad Жыл бұрын
Well I can't really say that one thing is better than the other, I'd recommend seeing all that you can see. That being said you could focus your attention on the High Pyrenees and start south of Pau or Lourdes and then continue East from there towards the Coast (or in reverse). I would say 4 weeks is quite a good chuck of time, even going from Haute Pyrenees to Andorra you will see plenty of stunning landscapes. Again I can't say exactly what to "skip" I dont know what your preferences are and this is why I offer private coaching if needed. Anyhow good luck!

Salut! La vidéo est super intéressante merci. Quelles cartes tu conseillerais pour préparer une traversée des Pyrénées en mixant les 3 routes ?
@TheOneGoodRoad2 жыл бұрын
Je recommande les cartes IGN. J'ai fait un mélange de différentes pistes. Cette carte explique tout en détail. (la carte avait des fonctions pour montrer chaque piste.) goo.gl/maps/kNsQNNDrNvGeLm9n7
@marietan20942 жыл бұрын
@@TheOneGoodRoad Génial merci beaucoup! J'avoue que j'étais réticente aux cartes IGN à cause du prix total pour couvrir toutes les Pyrénées... mais ça m'a l'air d'être la meilleure solution. Merci encore :)

Do you have any advice on hiking the GR10 during early April, technically still during ski season
@TheOneGoodRoad2 жыл бұрын
In general you will need more gear meaning more weight and you will make less mileage in a day due to the weight. For more information I offer coaching on the subject. 👌🏻
