You know you said what if a ball smacks us? Well about 10 minutes before kick off I was in the ponny and walking past the goal and I turned to look at the pitch when an absolute rocket of a shot hit me right in the face. I couldn't see out my left eye for half the match hahaha it was a laugh. I saw you in front of us but had no idea who you were, heard someone close to me say something along the lines of 'we love you away days', after that I had to look you up, so glad I did, I rate the content man keep it up.

Ellis, as a Grimsby fan, I actually thought we deserved to lose that game because we were wasteful in front of goal. Add to the fact we didn’t have a manager at that time (Michael Jolley got the sack around 6 weeks before this game). And yes, I’m a ST Holder in the Main Stand. It was all good creating chances but as a team, you’re ultimately judged on finishing them and that was Grimsby’s Achilles’ Heel for November and December. At the time, Grimsby played 6 games without scoring a goal and this game was the last one in that run. At the time, they had also not won a game since the 28th of September, which was a 3-1 away win at Exeter. The Mariners would then go on to score, but draw the next 2 games and win on Ian Holloway’s managerial debut for the Mariners (a 1-0 at home to Salford on New Year’s Day).
