Just some dude trying to add to your wonderful lecture. It's true our eyes are so slow on grasping info that we can't perceive the signal flow displayed by the LEDs when using this crystal oscillator. In this case though, the actual reason is that time you spend on the push button which is long (though it appears to our eyes to be short) enough that clock goes through several rising edges and the data thus fed into the data pin of the first flip flop is copied several times thus a succession of high states printed on the LEDs. Just to say that even with a slower clock, this could happen if the data is not send at the right tempo.

2:18 The last thing we need to drAhaw No, jokes aside. Thank you very much for this video. You explained me in 7 Minutes what my teacher didnt manage to teach a single person in my class in 45 minutes (2 times on different days!)

interesting points ,if anyone else wants to discover introduction to electronics book try Letza Easy Electronics Lessons (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my m8 got excellent results with it.

Very Very good!!! This explenation of the logic part is so great that even a baby can understand this! But what about the binary part.. Just show us how the chip is build and what the circuit is In the gate!

Help!! What is the largest negative number for a bit register? is it -1 or -0? i know -0 doesnt make sense so is it 0 like the smallest positive number? or -1? Thanks
@TuMadre101rk10 жыл бұрын
It depends on your counting system. For an unsigned int, its 0. To have signs in two's complement, you would have to have at least 2 bits, so 1 bit representation in two's complement doesn't exist. If you are in Excess-N notation, then 0 would correspond to -N.

Ray Kingsley Thanks for your reply! 4 bit register for example, would that be -1 for the largest negative number or 0?
