Hi Richy, fantastic tutorial. I really enjoyed discovering how you created the texture on the hair and the face. I have to be honest and say I never would have thought to use that type of burn stroke, but it was perfect. I also did not know about the birch plywood grade, so that was informative and useful. I completely understand about bouncing around the artwork. I tend to do that too especially when I get bored with an area. Thank you for the great video!

Hi Brenda. Thank you very much. Because this was a bigger board (A3) and the reference photo was very good, I was able to change my technique a little bit. We keep learning from each other.

The technique worked wonderfully! You are really good with portraits, but I think this might be the best or most detailed one you have done. It really did look like a photo. Sharing info and one of the great aspects of YT. It's always exciting to see someone do something that I never thought about and can incorporate into my own art.
