And wouldn't it be easier to put a warmer tire on because that would be expanding it instead of a cold tire which would be contracting?

@@tsmith5328 rubber contracts when hot. Hold a rubber band over a lighter. But to open up the ID, you'd benefit from being cold. It's opposite of steel.
