Great song and very enthusiastically played. Just a wee correction to the notes, though. The song is not from the Wars of Independence which took place in the late 13th and early 14th centuries. (Think Wallace and Bruce). This is a Jacobite song and dates from the 18th century. While some Scots certainly were fighting against the recent, and highly unpopular, Union, the fighting at that time was basically a dynastic struggle between Stuarts and Hanoverians ("Up with King James").
