I love the unit designs in this mod. It's like the vanilla unit textures on steroids where every unit looks awesome, even the lowest tier peasant units look cool in their own humble way.

it´s a masterpiece, battle AI looks much smarter in fieldbattles compared to vanilla.

For the different Roman reforms in this mod (out of memory, havent played it in a long time: for the first you need 4 huge cities in Italy, for the second 35 in your entire empire and for the last 80.

Against those phalanxes - why not send the velites around to hit them in their unshielded back? They'd also apply a missile fire morale debuff helping rout them more easily

For me lanjanes mods have the best skins though others are good and varied having all the units look the same but in such great detail just appeals to me more

When u attack with cavalry tell them to walk just before they attack(because they lose units when they charge into a tough opponent, like phalanxes). Also you should save velites ammo for flanking or back shots vs shielded enemies(shields will block some of the missiles).

i just unlocked the last tier of imperial legionary. took me quite awhile, amazing mod

how long did it take?

@@brend1800 i got segmentata at 105 bc, at full imperial borders + babylon. most challenging part of the mod is the start. u will need to sweat and get as many of the starting settlements as possible. i was able to close the brutii and scipii in and expand all borders myself. you will want gold legionaires when doing civil war, ai roman factions will spawn hordes of silver chevron legions

conquering the whole histotic borders is a story indeed - it makes the civil war funner as well as the other roman factions have their own mini empires - so when you conquer them in the civil war you inherit a united roman empire

If you buy Rome Remastered, you receive both Rome Remastered and the original 2004 game.
