Damien Schmitt has a long history with Hadrien guys. In fact they used to play in different bands around Paris before Hadrien moved to the US. I think one of the most time they shared the stage was a band called slow hands. But if you are interested in a Damien you should check his work with Sixun when he replaced Seray for a short while or his own band damn’co - French Lover

Wasn't sure what to expect. It the singer didn`t sing the melody, I'd be hard pressed to guess this was PYT. Love the groove and the players, but you could have chosen any similar melody and used this arrangement. Monstrous musicianship. Singer reminds me of Randy Crawford. It was excellent.

I keep seeing this comment pop up. I guess I scrolled through this section just to see if it was just me. Am I going crazy or is this drummer a nuisance? Crazy chops! Crazy!! But fuck if it isn’t making the song at all any better. And I love the technicians behind the kit. Omar Hakim, Billy Kilson, Nathaniel Townsley, Vinnie et al. But this? It’s 20 years of hard practice that needs to be tempered with another 20 years of someone telling him to LISTEN and know when to shut the fuck up!

Musically genius, but melodically crap" Every body here is sheer brilliance in their field, but there's a reason why shit like this never gets anywhere, because melodically with its slightly off tone, off beat tempo going everywhere. Imagine having released this in the early 80s, and see how far it goes. You musical techies really dig this crap. How is it that say, Ed Sheeran with only a guitar in hand can be one of the biggest stars in the world. Melodic brilliance that's why. That's one way to kill a great song. Just put a Jazzie spin on it. PYT-RIP

+HADRIENFeraud I think what he meant is that the drummer may have done a little too much out of pocket. PYT, the drum part is more of a pocket groove. BUT then again they made their own version of it it was more of a jazz groove than pop. So, I do understand.

Right from the get go, the drummer is fighting against the natural flow of this song. It's all very good to have chops, but playing a song is NOT the place to try and exhibit everything you now. Less is more, and this song certainly needs a lot less of this frantic tub thumping. Listen to the bass!!!!! Nicki in great voice - stick to the pros, don't settle for 2nd best.
