I wished I could use python for unity a long time ago. The last time I had tried this package in beta every developer on the team needed to install a python runtime and set it up per machine. Now it's all integrated so everyone on a team gets the benefits without all the hassle.

good to know that it is possible, I wonder what limitations are there, if it is possible to use python during application run, e.g. to controll Object based on keyboard inputs, of course if it makes sense, since there can be significant performance overheads

According to unity's documentation for v7.0.1 You can't use python in builds. You can only use python within the editor.. 😅 I read it today and for me.. now it doesn't make any sense to use it.. 😮‍💨 I wish I could use pytorch inside unity.. 😢

The package from Unity currently includes only 3.10. But if you really need another version of python there’s a way to run other processes through c# or python but it’s a little more complicated.

@@ErrorCodeZeroVideos In my case , I am going to make a simple music puzzle game for Final Year Project with uploading audio files from users which will be proceed by using the pytorch file on github named UVR5 . I wish to pass the path of uploaded file to python program for removing the vocal and left the instrumental music there for randomize the sequence of music "small box" with timeline . Based on my simple research , I will need to do a API to passing a value cross the c# to python , and library package for downloading the models needed for UVR5 and installing some library like pyside such as scipy , audioread and so on to form an environment for audio processing . How can I do that for three directions?

This is my first idea , the second idea is not going to set up the environment since UVR5 can be download as a .exe program file and setup in window , I would be required to set a path to connect two interface by using server ? This is my guessing.

Perverts who made it. I thought when I made a tool with Rust for Unity I became the one, but it seems I was beaten. - You think it’s related to making Unity friendly for those from the film industry? (Eg Technical Directors, Pipeline directors)
