I have a gas oven and warm up my tortillas directly over the flame. Do they taste better heated in a pan with oil? My housemate and I have been eating tacos every week, they’re so yummy and it’s fun to change up the filling topping combo. So I’m open to all and any opinions on tacos. People hate to research themselves. It’s called google scholar. I don’t have time to actually legit research. Hope whoever eats it daily does do good research. Anyways it’s bad environmentally cause it needs extra processing to get a soy molecule to a meaty substance = simply more processing/energy used. Rats got tested. Although all that came up was that PETA was mad, the rats had to be terminated obviously. Didn’t find definite info on rats dying due to abnormalities. (Yet that’s cause I didn’t read pages and pages of scholarly articles) As a new substance (bleeding non meat) it can be bad for us and we just don’t know yet. ✌🏽 good luck with your own research.

@Martin H you can't go pant based unless you know you're getting enough nutrients a day and substituting. That probably why you got sick. Its essential to get adequate B12, iron, l-lysine, folate, omega-3, zinc and the list goes on. I'm pretty sure all the processed bread milk cheese and canned/ jarred or packaged items that you get from the store aren't any better. Anything that's not whole foods is considered processed and in your words "full of crap".

@Martin H well I’ve been vegan 10 years now, 18 at the moment. I dont take any supplements and eat a variety of plat based foods. I’ve always felt good and healthy and am very physically active. So if i was deficient in b12 i’d have at least one side effect, but i dont have any but if any vegans of vegetarians do they can just take a b12 supplement

The only thing I would critique would be about the tortillas. You can toast them a little longer. You need to fry them at a higher temperature so they don’t absorbe oil. I would use an oil with higher smoke point like grapeseed if you want to avoid canola. You could also place the meet inside on the second flip and fold over to make a crispy taco. Then you can pat off the excess oil with a papertowel. You eat by opening it (it’s ok if breaks a little) and stuff your veggies in and salsas/sour cream ect.
