Hello guys. Love your reviews and your website! I'm looking for a daily driver and I'm doubt between the D2 and the Pyzel Phantom. I'm 137lbs (62kg) and 167 (5'5) tall, 37 years old and level wise I'm in the middle of intermediate to advanced. I'm afraid of getting the D2 on 5'6 (28L) and being too much volume, but it doesn't come on 5'5 and the 5'4 risks being too little (25.9L). I surf in west coast of France, most part of the time on beach breaks, with average waves and choppy sections. Sometimes it can be overhead but it's like some surfs in a year. What would you recommend? What would be better, the D2 5'6 (28L) or shall I go with a Phantom on 5'7 (26,7L)? They say "foam is your friend", but I'm now riding a DHD Black Diamond (5'8 x 29.5L) and I feel it too buoyant. Appreciate very much your thoughts dudes!

Question for Matt, how long do you wait to go surfing after getting a new tattoo? Do you use anything to cover up a new tattoo while out in the water? Thanks!

Great question. I am not 100% qualified to answer, and it depends on the size of tattoo etc... I usually give it 7 days at the least... I always have to plan a tattoo for a flat spell, which never works! After 7 days I do not cover it... On a bigger one, I have put a bit of vaseline over it to just give it a layer...

@@BoardshopUK appreciate the response! My tattoo artist said wait 3 weeks, just don't think I can hold out for that long haha. I'll try what you said. Thank you!

I like this set up of comparing boards. I feel you missed out a bit on the bottom contours of each board and the rails where do they sharpen up etc etc?

Stoked you love it. We have a blog that dives a bit deeper into the boards and we have a review on the individual boards too. We wanted to keep these a bit snappier.

@@BoardshopUK my point was that I like the set up as the visual reference of opposing boards helps on line purchases. And maybe I mean go whole time on this new vlog? ❤️👍

Both VERY good. Phantom has a touch better low end and a touch better paddle. Happy Everyday has a touch mroe perforamnce but you are spliting hairs on these models.

That older guys attitude is slightly annoying, let the younger guy give his opinion… not everybody’s surfing style is gonna suit a specific board, neither of you would be wrong if you preferred a different board… it would just mean you surf differently and a different board might highlight your strengths and ability.
