Mr Tomo, I would just like to say my heartfelt thanks to you because I went through a phase when I was stuck and I felt as I was not improving at all.. I would just noodle endlessly with the pentatonic scale and not learn anything, not even songs. But ever since I first saw your videos through one of MusicIsWin's with you in it. I have been really getting into the "practice mentality" and challenging myself. I came back to topics I thought I knew, like triads. I finally broke out of my bubble. I think the reason this happened is because of you and partly because I got a new guitar (a cheap tele but brand new) that feels like home to me, especially coming from a Floyd Rose guitar since I started haha. What I am trying to say is: I owe a heck of a lot to you. Thank you for helping me get better with my talents. Even though I have not signed up for the Guitar Wisdom (because i have no 💸), Your KZbin videos got me to where I am . I'm writing this right after a VERY solid practice session and it's time to go to sleep. If you read this even a little thanks so much! Love from 🇵🇭

I'm spending time on triads lately. I love what you showed there and it will help me absorb it without thinking - pick a simple 2 chord progression and play 3 triad positions for each chord. That's a great way to exercise triads in a musical way.

I'm a guitarist (not a pro), I subscribed to guitar wisdom last November, browsed what's in-store for me and it just blew me away. All the lessons you should've learned before you bought your first gear were all in there plus the life lessons as a bonus. Very informative and gets updated with new lessons too. Unfortunately I had to cancel it because I'm taking up an IT course but once this is over, I'm gonna subscribe again for sure. What you see here on youtube is just the tip of the iceberg.... I hope you guys try his Guitar Wisdom course. You'll never regret it!!!! Thanks for the wisdom TF!!!

Thank you some much. Your advice has come at a very important time for me. I just started taking lessons with a teacher who is very knowledgeable and patient. We were working on diatonic triads in my first lesson and I was unkind to myself because I felt like I couldn’t understand quickly enough. Your instruction offered a different perspective and your closing wisdom helped me change my thought pattern to a more positive view.

Hey Tomo- many thanks for your instructional wisdom. While I’ve played guitar long enough to learn songs, lessons never worked out for me due to a learning disability. The technical aspects of the fretboard somewhat elude me to this day but I watch your videos & take it slow. I’ll be checking out your other lesson options too. Thank you!

Damn. Thought I was just going to learn how to use triads but you also reminded me of a few things with those picks in the last parts of the video. That was heartwarming haha I struggle with comparing myself a lot even in cases when it's not about guitar... Just life in general. Thanks for the reminder not to compare myself and to be kind to myself. Awesome lesson

I never really understood how triads actually work until I started to play keyboard too. I just used them by intuition. Then with a little bit of (classical) music theory it all became so much easier.
