We have been back and forth between Florida and the Southwest for winter 2025. Enjoyed our time in Florida but we may be ready for a change. Enjoy your summer❤️. We are loving Newfoundland.

Great idea… Love the Q&A. Someday a live fireside chat would be great! Got to turn on my KZbin notifications. Our EKKO also averages between 11-12 MPG. Someone said they got 16 MPG by keeping the max speed to 60 MPH. I keep forgetting to pack my patience to go that slow. Typically at speed limit posted or 5 over. Thanks for sharing the journey.

That’s what we tend to drive also. Thanks for the fireside chat idea.

Try Baja California for the winter. I’m going in my Revel for the 1st time. I’m stoked. Cheers Dave

We might have to do that. It sounds like a great place to winter, have fun.

Ooch! 12-ish mpg. I suspected it was down there somewhere. That's a lot of vehicle to be hauling around. I was tempted to ask if you had a favorite of your last three vans, but I know that that's an unanswerable question. Each one had its strengths and its weaknesses. Wouldn't it be nice to have a stable of them and you could pull out the one that you want to take on a particular trip with that particular gear? The Travato K seems like the best of everything - almost - if you don't have a lot of gear! But bikes, kayaks, screen rooms - that's a lot of stuff. I thought your little cargo trailer was a great solution, but, then, you're always towing something. Part of me misses our little A-frame trailer because we could drop it and have a comfortable Subaru Outback to sightsee in. But boy, neither of us really liked to tow and neither of us was very good at backing up! So we're happy with the little Solis Pocket. It seems to be the sweet spot for us and our 1-3 week adventures. (We may feel different next year if we decide to go to Alaska!)

You are so right there are things we like about all three vans. I like all the extra space in the Ekko but I miss the smaller size of the Travato and the Revel, for driving. Glad to hear your Solis Pocket is working out great for you, I think you will do fine in Alaska.

We had others tell us that too but even though it sounds a little like Owen it was not. Pretty cool folks connect us together enough that they can hear Owen's voice on your videos... even when it's not there. Hope you're having fun on the trip to get your new baby.

Wow! I can't believe it has been 2 years since you purchased the ekko! One question I would have liked to see answered at the end of this video is: are you keeping the ekko or getting ready to move on to a new rig? This one seems to work really well for you but it seems like you trade in every 2 years, so I'm just wondering if it is time :o)
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle5 ай бұрын
That is a good question. Right now we have no plans on trading.

I’m in bed and my volume is off, so attempting to understand what’s going on . Sell/trade the Ecco, check out other models of same Class. Many improved models available. Why not just do a stationary broadcast interviewing other content providers? You ou both have a knack to make people comfortable, I bet there are great stories to be told…I’m gonna rewatch this tomorrow after wife wakes up. Enjoy your4th! 😊

Hi Owen and Lynn! I have a question. I love the music choice you play. Do I hear Owen singing of the songs? Or is it someone else? It sounds just like him if it isn’t him. I love when he sings and writes music. He’s like a pro at it. I wanted to ask you Lynn if you like driving the Ekko but someone asked that. How is the Ekko doing with issue with the air conditioner? Had anymore issues? See both soon!

Sometimes he sings. Most of the time you see him playing like this Sundays episode.

Do you use a dedicated GPS versus phone apps? If so which one and why?
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle4 ай бұрын
We use Google Maps on our iPhones most of the time. We try to use Apple Maps often but usually have e at least one issue that kicks us back to Google maps. We have not had a dedicated GPS for close to 10 years now.
@ruxtontm14 ай бұрын
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyleWe don’t have any sort of satellite wifi. A couple of weeks ago we camped where there was no cell service and when we started to travel again we couldn’t get any apps to work. What do you do in that case?
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle4 ай бұрын
We do two things. First, we have navigation built into van to use. It's never as good but it's gotten us out of a pinch when we didn't know if we should turn left or right. We also have gotten into the habit of using the download map area feature of Google Maps and now Apple Maps. That way if you're heading say to Newfoundland and you know cell coverage might be spotty you can download those areas to the phone and when it doesn't have a signal it will use that downloaded version instead. That has bailed us out many times, especially when we're planning the next day.

Romans 3:23 states: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;". We are all sinners, that have committed at least one sin in our lives, which earns us an eternal punishment in Hell. Revelation states 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.". God sent his Son, Jesus, to Earth as a perfect sinless sacrifice. To take on all the sins of the world; both past, present, and future sins. Shedding his blood on the cross as a blood atonement for all sins. After dying on the cross, he rose from the dead on the 3rd day and rose to Heaven. To show life after death. To show everlasting life through Jesus's sacrifice. John 14:6 states: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.". Romans 10:13 states "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.". Eternal life in heaven is just one prayer away. All you have to do is believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for your sins. As an atonement for your sins. And rose from the grave on the 3rd day. Ask Jesus to save you of your sins and give you eternal life in Heaven. Salvation is a free and everlasting gift from God. Please don't let pride drag you into eternal punishment in Hell, but ask Jesus to give you eternal life in Heaven. If you're getting a strong feeling of resistance while reading this, it's because Satan doesn't want you to get saved. He wants you to resist, and think it's not real. He wants you in Hell for all eternity with him. Hell is not a fun place, like worldly people like to imagine. It's everlasting torture with no relief. I'm only taking the time to text this, because I want to get the message out. There are so many distractions in life keeping people from witnessing to other people. Keeping people from thinking about salvation. Keeping you from thinking about life after death. Please, ask Jesus into your hearts to save you of your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Ask him for a place in Heaven, and he will save you from eternal damnation in Hell.
