Sad that the railroad languishes in the doldrums but even sadder to see that farmer beating a dead horse on your layout.

"It works, it's cheap, it does the job." Kind of applies to most stuff on the channel. :)

I always enjoy these when they come out. I think it's great to simply enjoy some of your hobbies without trying to film everything. I think I speak for most of your viewers, that we're grateful for what you do share.

Some spall railroad projects can cross with electronics I would think. Like maybe: Switchers, lighting, wiring setups, etc.. Just a thought. Railroading is not really my thing, But the actual work behind the scenes? Now that could be pretty cool. Keep em coming! I will watch them. Finally made it through all your mailbags LOL.

Please give Lance a scratch behind the ears and a treat. Lance (Sir Lancelot) was the name of my childhood black labrador retriever.

Regarding transistor types I like to think of those three as small, medium, and large. The small ones like 2n3904 have lots of gain but can't move much current. Medium ones like 2n2222 have less gain but more current, and then 8050 is better if you need even more current. It's kind of like 12ax7 vs 12at7 vs 12au7.

You made me cry. After 100 hours of train vids, I was bored. It is just not my thing. Do not want to take you off your ambitions though. Keep doing your werk. Someone watches.

I have heard that AI can write software. Perhaps it could write a script that would be close enough to save you some programming time for your overhead camera?
@pileofstuff9 ай бұрын
In my experience those AI tools can be very confidently wrong at times. I've seen some simple code that they have made, but as often as not, the more complex the requirement, the more broken the resulting code.
@PriorUniform7219 ай бұрын
@@pileofstuff "very confidently wrong" is the best way I've heard it put. I tried to get ChatGPT to write some in game script for a game I play and it was VERY confident and very convincing. Turns out though it was mixing the old and new Game APIs so what looked good was just gibberish.
