Thank you for encouraging people to recycle their drills. I catalog all of my leftovers after a project and have ordered a HAED/Crown Jewel Canvas to use them on. The 'trash' drills I keep to put in little crystal balls for Christmas ornaments.

and also i use my extra drills as a kind of like a cover minder in a container to hold my plastic cover down and it works great

I would love to know more about adding special drills to a canvas. How do you know what colour? What kind? And where or how much to use? I want to start using them, but I'm overwhelmed by options and clueless as to figure out where to start.

I love your use of the crayon for placing the larger crystals. My first attempt with those was very clumsy. I will definitely try the crayon next time. I also love the sugar skull.

Regarding Diamond Dotz and their numbering, there is now a conversion chart between DMC numbers and Diamond Dotz's numbers on their website, and can be downloaded as a pdf

3:05 I’m 13 and have been doing dp for 2 years now. I started with just cards but now I’ve done 50x40 full drill painting. I guess if u have a 5 year old or something they probs won’t be able to do that but a lot of kids have a larger attention span than u give them credit for🥰🥰

I want to do a very very very large diamond painting like 80x220cm. I’ve always used the round tips but it can be at times hard to align the very dark rounds as the background is the same colour. Although I have a very very steady hand and for the most part very centered. But I think the squares for such a large piece would be much easier and wouldn’t be wasting my money or never finishing from always trying to centre

Hi Rachel! Thank you for talking about custom diamond art canvases. My husband, being sweet, ordered a custom kit. He wasn't helped at all. The picture he chose was not the best, the size was too small, and I was short drills on two colors. Having names for reputable places to buy kits of any kind is great. Thank you! Thank you!

do you use a big magnet on back. way u move cover minder around seems so versatile where mine seems so hard to place all time directly behind so i end up just using to cover when not in use does that make sense?

Hi, hope you can help me. Can you use spray glue to seal everything or do you things Mod Podge is better. I am not sure if the spray glue would leave it sparkly or not. What do you advise to seal & still keep the sparkle? I am in the UK, thanks

Good information! Thanks!

Unfortunately the drills sold at Joann’s are Diamond Dotz brand and the color numbers are not DMC numbers, they are 4-digit numbers that begin with an 8. Hoping to find a conversion list somewhere online.

Good Morning -- I have more questions (sorry) I seem to be generating an 'inventory' of NEW kits (so much fun). so my questions are: Is there a shelf-life for the glue? How do you store the 'new' kits? do you open them and remove the canvas? to flatten immediately? Thank you - Ann Marie Mandarano - Cambridge MA USA

I notice in your tray your diamobds are lined up so well that you can pick them up quickly and not continually shake thr tray How do you do that?

Rachel, I need your help. I ordered a dp from someone different this time. The numbers on the dp are like J2027 1 or J2027 2 and so on through 16. These don’t match any of the numbers that I currently have. Does this sound right. I mean I just took it for granted that all paintings used the same colors and numbers just different legend symbols. How does this work.

Ok this may be a silly question but I am super new to diamond painting. And about half the way finished. I started using a magnifying glass and now noticed that the diamonds can be placed on 2 ways square or diamond shaped. Should they be placed all the same direction? Can you direct me to a very basic start video? THANKS
@RachelRaeCraft4 жыл бұрын
There are two different types of facets and that's what makes them shimmer, so they should not be in the same direction

I use straight-edge slanted eyebrow tweezers for everything. To straighten drills, you can buy a straight edge tool to drag across the rows and up and down the columns of drills but you can also use a credit card. Sometimes I pull two cards on either side of the row and move them across the row together.

I have an issue with my square diamond paintings, it seems that I have to fill the pen more often when working on squares than I do when I am working on rounds. I try to keep my pressure on both types light and even but it doesnt seem to help with the squares. Does anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on why and how to correct it? (these are the regular drills not AB ones)

I completely understand now why I don’t waste time and money with organization (60 containers drill storage where three like-colors are in one container)!!!! It’s BECAUSE I fill the entire canvas with one color before moving on to another packet!!! My God. They are paying you exorbitantly. NICE LIVING RR. Kudos. But Never mind; I enjoy your Gabbing Sessions (& exquisite work!) Like you (except being paid in-kind; I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ DP. Fun fun fun! 🤗💞.
