When I have diamonds left over, I bring out that group of the colour. For example, if what I have left is green, I compare it to the baggies of leftovers that are green. I usually have the same colour or one very close, so I add it to the baggy. If not close and there is lots, I start a new bag.

Hi Jessica! Thank you for your videos and your knowledge. My question(s) relate to the type of canvas and drills. What is the difference between canvas and soft lint when it comes to quality? And what is the difference between acrylic and AB drills? Thank you, again.

Hi, Jennifer! In my experience, soft lint is a little less stiff than canvas with a soft back side, but I tend to prefer canvas because the stiffness makes it hold up better in framing in my experience. :) That is personal preference only though. Acrylic drills are molded from plastic (resin are as well, but the formulation is a little different), and AB drills are basically regular drills with a beautiful pearlescent coating. :) I hope that helps!

Forgive me if this question has been answered before. I am loving both the Lady of Shalott works that you have done and would like to do the "boat" one as a gift for daughter's new house. (She is an English literature grad and will love it!) How shall I go about purchasing a larger canvas (50x65), with regard to your guidance about licensing and ethics? Suggestions on a first timer? What size do I start with? Does the image determine size? I’ve heard ‘bigger is better’ regarding size but it’s to be my first ever & I’m unsure where to start.

Must Be Crazy Great question! Yes, image does determine the size. The smaller the figures in the image the larger you will want to go. I also find that rounds have slightly lower resolution than squares do. I actually have a video on this on my channel from a few months back if you feel like digging around a bit and you feel it would help. Thanks for watching today! Hi, Lori! Angle of work and table height are definitely two considerations. An adjustable easel has helped me a lot, and I find that if my arms are resting at an uncomfortable height that really makes a difference for me. Frequent breaks also help a lot! :)

Lori Ann I invested in an adjustable drafting desk...the basic style on Amazon is not very expensive. The top comes up at an angle and is a back saver!

I got a Jim's diamond painting pen. It was all some kind of wood and so beautiful. I loved it and it felt so comfy. Accidentally it fell on the floor without me knowing it. My dog chewed up the end. Can you imagine what my face looked like when I noticed it.

Just wanted to mention, per the question about symbols and DMC codes being the same on different canvases, and the reply that they're not... I've been mulling this over while planning software for DPing - like, why are the symbols NOT standard? Beside the fact that each company can use whatever symbols they want, there's a good reason for the symbols to not be standard. If standardized, it would take away control to use a radically different symbol in the instance of two similar symbols being placed side-by-side. Since there are 447 (I think - correct me if I'm mistaken) different DMC colors, one would first have to come up with 447+ (to account for things like AB drills, and future colors) different symbols - not as easy as it sounds. Each symbol has to be unique - VERY unique - and have the ability of printing clearly, so best they aren't too detailed. Now imagine doing that, and it might be a while before you happen upon a canvas that shows that 2 or more symbols aren't all that different from one another. It would be less of a problem if a company could simply change the symbol for one of the colors, to make it easier to read. The above sounds very confusing, but I'm not sure of a better way to say it. It's good that companies have the flexibility to use whatever symbols work best on each canvas, in order to cut down on possible confusion. Maybe I should have just said that in the first place. lol

I went back through my order history on Amazon, and the link in my description to that video does seem to be the same listing I purchased. I’m not sure why they’ve changed the cord. Mine does have a USB attachment, but the cord itself inserts into the light pad. If I find one that looks more similar to the older model I purchased, I’ll update that link. 😢

I am part of Reborn babies and silicone babies and very often we see pictures stolen to the artists. Very often from China. A way to recognize these scammers is the price they ask for. But we tried to bring them to court, tell them it's stealing and they laughed!

@@eleonorarutberg3845 The only partial mandalas I've seen were made entirely of special drills, but if there are some regular drills in the mix that are round, those would be easy to substitute for some AB's or crystals. :) I think Diamond Painting with Sparklers also carries some interestingly shaped special drills, which could be fun! :)

I can sum up in one word one of the reasons (among many) that I continue to look forward to each edition of Tiny Worlds. That word is INTEGRITY. Your on-going campaign to encourage us to buy only copyrighted images is a credit to you and therefore to the industry. I’m going to suggest another campaign. One which, to this point, I haven’t been able to make a commitment. I wish all dp buyers could commit to boycotting all Chinese vendors. The Communist Party has done us all wrong with the Covid dilemma. But beyond that they are severely limiting the rights of their citizens, including Christians and other religious groups. I know that I’m now stepping on the toes of American small dp businesses that depend on Chinese factories (some of which are nice people) to produce the drills and to print and prepare the canvases we all covet. But I’m feeling more guilty with each new order I place. I think sometime soon I’m going to have to have the adult in me tell the child in me to pull up my integrity boots and stop ordering anything from China. Sigh...

Hi, Paula! I appreciate your encouragement! I am definitely imperfect, but I try! :) I agree that some Chinese companies' rampant use of infringing work is troublesome. I think I have a moderately different take, and one that no one is obligated to agree with. :) Because 100% of diamond paintings are manufactured in China, including those sold by reputable companies based in the U.S., I would love to see us all support these Chinese manufacturers, staffed by regular people like you and I, who are working in factories producing these legitimate products. They are going to work, feeding their families, and, even more than us, have little control over what their government does as a whole. If we are supporting the businesses there who are dealing reputably, everyone wins! They can earn a living and we can act ethically. People are people everywhere, and although there are cultural differences, we are all valuable, even if our governments are doing a bit of saber rattling right now. There are legitimate issues there of course, but I think we have to separate people from the systems we live under. :) Like I said, just my take. :) Thanks for your comment! :)
