Trottie, You da man. We all know the majority of the scoring comes from 0-125 yds. I would believe the next wedge fitting you film, it would be beneficial to really dive deep into the shafts you should play in the wedges. When do you ditch your iron shaft for a wedge shaft? What stiffness profile should you focus on? What length does with the leading edge and heel turf interaction? What does changing lie angle and loft (in both direction) do to the bounce/launch/spin of the wedges? What grinds should you focus on with swing type not just a bounce number? How to properly test a wedge in a simulator (like a retailer experience) to get the most out of the fitting? I think the wedge videos are overlooked by many in the KZbin space and no one really dives deep into them. All of them are the same "look at the bounce...slap grass...great ball flight" it is essentially marketing gobblety goop. Getting the details of HOW TO select wedge bounce / shaft / grind is really not shown in the KZbin space.

This is the kind of video you send to your golf bros. I know I did. Maybe I've been living under a rock but this feels like breaking into a new genre. It's as if Bryson went full golf nerd, with godlike talent, but in a laid-back and somewhat easy to understand format. Liked, shared and saved. Thanks man!

Trottie... the video is incredible... Thank you so much for being at Aviara... I flew in to do a tour fitting with Cobra almost a year ago to the day. I visited the Kingdom while I was there, but Aviara was without a doubt my favorite course I played in the 5 days I was there. Nice to show it off. Cant wait to go back!

What differences do you see in tall people as far as club set up especially with wedges as far as playing longer

They go too up in the lie angles for wedges & they don't seek out light heads so the things feel like hammers!

Hi Trottie. How often do you change the grips for the tour guys? Is it more often for someone like Scottie using the tour velvet versus someone using the tour velvet cord?
@trottiegolf7 ай бұрын
Player dependent. I wouldn't say the brand or model impacts it but more how hard they're practicing at any given time. Once every 12 - 16 weeks seems a fair average

Trottie - I purchase a set of forged irons in 2005 that I still use today. 2 questions. 1) What are the odds these clubs have the same loft and lie as they did in 05? and 2) What is the expected ROI on new clubs almost 20 years later?
@trottiegolf7 ай бұрын
ROI for clubs that old great & then chances on the loft n lies being good.... SLIM to NONE

@@jonwat4579 the little old skool blades are awesome, I think if you can use them and have success then it's mega but truth is the tech in the new mallet stuff is hard to overlook. I'm currently armlock and switch between claw and conventional grip, it's crazy how good the numbers get when you deep dive. Actually been testing a broom too, I reckon that method could be silly good but needs a lotta work before you let rip.

@@trottiegolf Yeah I’ve been taking a hard look at my putter. Putting is one of the strongest parts of my game, but I don’t sink very many 10-15 ft putts. I’ve been working with my coach on my stroke and have been thinking to test out a mallet. It’s a totally different feel than the massive toe hang I currently game, but you’re right it’s hard ignore the current tech.

Trottie please help. I have had poor fitting experience. Need real help. Got fit to KBS tour 120g S flex. 7 iron right around 90mph club head speed ball speed 120. Previously played project x rifle 6.0 and carried it 170. Now with these new shafts I’m only carry 155 160. Apexing at 135-140’ launch at 24 degree. I’m assuming I’m just getting to high ball flight and loosing distance? Is it me and my swing or is shaft? Thank you!

@mitchellbartunek19937 ай бұрын
@@trottiegolf I absolutely did ask it twice 😂 gotta do what you gotta do right? I play prov1x ball. Just switched to new irons and they are 3-4 degrees stronger. So naturally I expected to see lower ball flight and around same distance maybe few yard more. But instead I got 20-30 yard higher peak hight and less distance.
