I tried Howard's feed and wax a few years ago and have stayed with it. It simply works really well, and it is so easy to use. Try it.

I have had good results with 0.25”X20TPI inserts in MDF provided I wet install them with titebond.

Eric, I do my tru-oil application a good bit different than you. So how I do it on the fretboard is apply the oil on the fretboard after fretting, then I buff the oil back off after a few minutes. It doesn’t build to any noticeable film thickness.

Hey Eric, I just checked and the StewMac Bending system is still $1999.00. Thats just crazy. I too made my first bending mold from solid MDF. Its ridiculously heavy and I definitely will not do that on the next one. Live and Learn.

Agree, bought mine on sale LMI a few years back for like $350, same thing. I like STEWMAC, and I keep an account with them, but they charge way too much for a lot of their products.

​@@paulsigmon7263 yeah I mean I like that stewmac exists. I bought a cedar soundboard from them. But I grew to the point where I just have such disdain for them due to their price gouging.
