As others said, they don’t make anymore. Minwax “paste finishing wax” works great.

Nice work Eric, I like the tip using the soldering iron to heat and remove the old frets… I sent my Taylor in for a expression system refurb and re-fret and they broke the binding in several spots and claimed “that always happens “ when I complained- if they took a bit more care like you do, I’ll bet that would minimize the damage to the binding.

Johnson Paste Wax was discontinued...that is why it exploded in price. There has to be a reasonable alternative on the market - any neutral wax should suffice.

I've heard they stopped making the Johnson's Paste Wax which is why it's so costly.

Can I ask : if I wanna change mid-jumbo frets to jumbo, do I have to saw the fret slot a bit or the hammering will push it in anyways? Thanks

They have Not Stopped making Johnson’s paste wax, it used to be made in the U.S.A. Unfortunately like most things it is made overseas.. After the Plague the whole supply chain is disrupted which causes Huge increase in costs to both the consumer & manufacturers. Sorry for the rant😵💫🤯 Great vid Eric👍👍🎸🇺🇸🎹🎼👨🏻🦯
