"We tend to stress more than we need to' - so true! I love that you gave such thoughtful advice to do with managing your time, I definitely agree that grades don't define you completely and if you just spend your time revising you won't have any memories to look back on in the future as all you will remember doing is revising. Loved this video as always💛💛💛

I went back to school when I was in my late 20s. Graduated when I was 32 and I’m contemplating going back for my credential. I’ve really found going to college as an older student to be great. I wasn’t so concerned with a lot of things that I was when I was younger. You kind of have a different outlook as an older student as opposed to being younger. If you’re hesitant going to school because you feel to “old”, I wouldn’t. Go for it! It’s totally worth it.

You can always double-major if you're not sure what you want to have a degree in. Or major in English and minor in something humanities-related. Also, I'm 22 and should have graduated in the fall of this year (I started in the spring of 2016), but I'm working and paying my way through so I can only afford a few classes each "semester." It'll be another couple of years before I graduate. There's no "wrong" way to do college. Whatever works for you and gets you through it is the right way to do it. College is so much better than high school in that it's not a "one size first all" experience; you can go at your own pace and find what works best for you. Also, I'm glad you already have the awareness of not studying too much and understanding the importance of self-care and socializing. I'm just now figuring that out, lol.

i also started college when i was 21, but because i kinda lost myself in doing something i didn't like for 3 years, and then when i finally was able to be an english major? i just felt so grateful and it made me want to work even more for this degree

This video honestly helped so much because I also took a year off from school, and I've been worrying about going back next year.

Starting college is so exciting! Best of luck ❤️ I agree about having a rhythm and keeping productive. As much as I love relaxing, reading, etc. I always feel a bit better when I have something to work and focus on and that challenges me.

I definitely agree with being grateful that I started university when I was older, I know who I am and what I want to get out of it way more than I would if I'd been able to go at 18. If you are starting later you don't have to worry about not fitting in I have friends who are on my course who started at 18 and others who are in their 30's I have found I've generally gravitated towards being friends with people who are slightly older without realising it but saying that my best friend at uni started at 18. So it is not something that should discourage you or make you feel anxious. If anything it is an advantage.

I remember that time when I thought "oh it's okay to not be 1st anymore and grades really don't say anything about ourselves" but when 6months later you always get horrible marks and you're battling to pass the year because your professors told you you were not made for this type of studies, when you see everyone esle having fun, when you can't seem to be able to make friends, when you're litterely shattered and depressed you just don't think that way again. Really hard to get off that state so I really wish you won't fall as hard as I did

Question for study video: I always do well in keeping up with school until break (ie: fall break, winter break). Once I go on break I stop all of my habits and can't get back into the swing of things and just give up. How do you stay focused and keep motivated after breaks?

Where I live it's pretty common for people to go to college at an older age, I started college this summer and I'm 21 too. The age of my classmates ranges from 16 to 50!!! So far it's been really interesting💛

I started college too and love the social aspect too. The only thing is that people can be very mean and hostile to me because I'm Muslim. That tends to make things hard.
