Guys, Philip and you man in front of the camera 😀😀, you’ and your videos are awesome. I’ve been binch watching you since a week and „mission is accomplished“ now 😉 Thanks for making these informative, thoroughly and partially entertaining, always meaningful videos!! 🙏🏻😀🤓 One question also: I have some trouble with my Calathea Bicajoux Gecko: the plant was as fine as all my other Marantas and Calatheas, and Scindapsus, Philos 🌱 🌱🌱 etc. It stands directly below an North facing roof top window with 1-2 hours of sun in the morning, circled by other Marantas and Calatheas etc. But the Bicajoux gets brown edged leaves, stopped flowering now after almost 9 months (dormancy?). I needed to cut out some dead leaves, new branches come but the plant doesn’t look healthy at all. I’ll by some volcanic rock soon and will follow your instructions. However, maybe you and can do a Marantas and Calathea video some time? Thx 🙏🏻 for all your efforts!! I very much appreciate that! 😁

DESCRIPTION COPY AND PASTED FOR MOBILE USERS: 1/ (01:04) All my plants are in self watering pots, and planted in pumice /clay mixture. How often should you fertilize for self watering? Is it the same frequency as for the pots with drainage? Link to our video Q&A on how to grow your plants bigger and thicker: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKGnop6XpN2daK8 2 (03:13) Please show us the wire form you use for the Pothos to climb. Link to our video All you need to know about Pothos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWLSfGijfNmtq6c 3 (09:13) Does the pruning also make other plants grow from the nodes further up, for example with a Tradescantia (Yellow Hill) ? Link to our video All you need to know about Pothos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWLSfGijfNmtq6c 4 (15:16) (Answering on a comment not a direct question) Aquarists… like myself put pothos in our aquariums. We put the stems and roots in the tank and leaves outside the tank. We do this because the plant feeds on the excess nutrients in the water… ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Aquarists loves pothos. It really helps us with algae control and water chemistry. It´s a tough plant. My cichlid frequently attacks the roots and my pothos continue to grow. I add only LED lighting for the pothos. Link to our video 3 easy ways to propagate Pothos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpnRp5J3e7ynbdk 5 (19:48) Regarding the ZZ Plant. Is it poisonous? Rumour says its not poisonous and not good to keep in the house, pls verify. Link to our video - All you need to kom about the ZZ Plant: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHvSqpSLr5abj7c

If I use grow lights on my plants during the winter, will they continue to grow? And if so, do i need to keep fertilizing them?
@petelehar15424 жыл бұрын
My grow lights are set up so that they point upwards at my taller plants (Monstera Deliciosa). Are the bottoms of the leaves just as good at making use of the light? Or do my grow lights need to be positioned above so that the light is hitting the tops of the leaves?

Hello! I have a question about my ZZ plant. I noticed that two of its bulbs are peeking a little bit on the surface of the soil but they were firm when I purchased it. After a few weeks, they started becoming mushy and the stalk directly growing from it was loose. The stalk still looks healthy overall but has 1 or 2 leaves with browning tips. Some of the roots attached to the mushy bulbs were also surfacing and loose/mushy. If this is root/bulb rot, should I remove the mushy bulbs completely, cut the rotted roots, and put the healthy stalk back in the soil? I also found one big black ant at the bottom of my cover pot when I removed my ZZ plant to inspect it. Not sure if they are considered indoor plant pests. Thank you!

Please let us know what recipe of pumice to clay that will work best for our houseplants as you use commercially prepared “pumice mixture”.

What we really want to know is how many Swedish plant guys there are, and I know if I ask this question enough times it will be answered! But I also have a question about the bamboo supports for Vines. I put several of my hoyas on different size bamboo rings at the beginning of the summer and then put them outside. I have grown like crazy and soon they will be totally around the ring. What then? Do I go around the ring again and with your teepee style support, what would you do when the pothos got to the top? Nobody ever talks about that, but my plants are growing very quickly! Thanks!

I love these videos! I'm so glad I found you. I took cuttings from my zz plant and forgot it was poisonous.. touched my lips and they broke out like I had an allergic reaction. I had no clue how I got that reaction until I remembered I was fooling with my zz plant. Benadryl and antibiotic ointment and I'm good as new..

I really appreciate the passion and the work that you guys show !!! I am a beginner in planting and I have 3 questions regarding plants that need little water, like the ZZ plant, you mentioned in one of your videos that you can repot such a plant in Pumice with the soil it came with from the plant store without having to add a nutrient absorber like clay pebbles or zeolite because the soil already contains nutrients, but after a while the soil will decrease and eventually be completely gone after waterings, so when that happens do you: (1) wait for the roots to completely dry and then take the plant and the Pumice out of the pot to mix it with a nutrient absorber? and (2) then right after that do you water the plant with or without a fertilizer? (3) I live in the United States, I bought a small ZZ plant this summer month July, I noticed the roots were dry and a couple of small new sprouting leaves were yellow so I repotted it in Pumice and watered it without fertilizer in a self-watering pot, should I have added fertilizer also even though it is summer (not an active month)??? thanks in advance for your response.

Hi from Italy! Regardong the life of the plants, what is the medium age of the most common plants (ad example those about whom yuo made the videos ), Sansevieria, ZZ plant, ficus, photos, philodendron, ecc? I remember it was about 1988 when my mom gets the ficus lyrata and benjamina and she throw them away a couple a years ago because tired to prune them.. And The second question, about the ZZ plant (not the Zenzy version) - The stems are about to grow very long? And what will happen if the stem will be cut in the middle of its high? Thank you as always for what you do!

Thanks for ur wonderful answers. I want to use leca for my plants (I can't afford pumice) but the problem is the observation of the fertilizers because of small cec. What do you think of mixing leca and parts of Spagnum moss. As u described Spagnum moss has good cec value that help the fertellizers to be available to the plant. And also the spagnum will keep the leca more moist. Which is good for calathea plants and a like. What is your opinion pls? I hope I'm clear

Hiya thanks for your amazing videos. I have a spider plant that has very elongated brown stems before without leaves before the growing bit. They then have plenty of leaves. The brown stem part is around 7 inches long and I'm worried it might snap. The plant is an office lockdown rescue plant but is feeling much better now. Anyway could I cut the stem right off at the base near the soil, would it regrow? Or could I replant the plant deeper in the soil including the brown stem? Thanks for any help you can give me, I have seen mention in a couple of places on the web that you can cut foliage off at the base but I'm very worried to do this and kill the plant. But if the experts think it is ok....!? Thank you.

I can't find the answer to my question in your many fantastic Q&As so I hope your can help me in your next episode. My dracaena m (corn plant) has 3 stems. Two of them are fine but one of them with two stalks started to go limp and then brown leaves so I cut it off at the node as it went black. The soil felt dry at first so I watered it and it didn't help as they went even more limp. So there are technically two holes on the stem. Will anything grow out of it? Or should I remove this stem? Thank you.
