Is there a difference between the function of the reservoir and the quick systems? Does one keep the substrate wetter than the other? Do different plants do better in a given system? Heh, I just realized you could make a whole video on those questions! This was very informative. Thank you! 💚

Thank you for great video... I have a small problem with my aglonema: It always looses the bottom leaf before growing a leaf on top. Not sure what is wrong ? Bottom leaf turns yellow the falls off .

Can/should I use a mix of soil, leca and perlite? Or is that unnecessary or even worse? For example 10% perlite, 10% leca and 80% soil? And if yes, do I mix it all together or do I mix the perlite and soil, and put the leca in the bottom of the pot?

As I have long leggy vine more than in video shown, I don’t want to cut much, but however as it was root rot, I cut it off all root now, and all the leaves are curl off, now I had put in the water , but instead can I put in perlite and peat moss until the root grows? Does it propagate ?

What do you do if your roots grow to 4 to 5 inches or more in water? Do you still repot into soil?

Of all the monstera, calathea and pothos advice I’ve sought, this channel’s has been the most comprehensive and informative content of all of it. Thank you for clearing up all the wishy washy information out there! So helpful

Just learned that perlite should be moist before using & that perlite should / can be used as a step after water propagation and before finally adding to soil. Thank you. ☺️

I have self watering pots for most of my plants and they thrive in this system. The only plant I am wondering about is ivy in this system. I have put the plants in a brighter spot to see if that’s causing wilting of the leaves. I hope it’s not the self watering situation.

I just bought two for my garden, but I'm worried my climate won't be warm enough for them to bloom well, I'm in Ireland. On some sites, it says they need a good summer to flower well. I think your summers would be a bit warmer/sunnier than mine, but there's not a huge difference. It looks great in your video, but maybe this was a good summer...do you find any problem with flowering?

Why braid the lower branches? It looks unnatural to have a spiral going up the tree.. it might happen in nature but it wouldn’t look like some human made it.. I suggest we leave the branches alone.. money tree looks stupid too! And ugly bamboo that’s all twisted up… why? Boredom? Love this channel and the great information you provide! Liked and sub’d!

I watched your whole video but didn't get my question answered so thought I'd ask. The frowns on my plant are cracking where they bend. It also seems like the frowns are getting very skinny. It lives outside on a covered patio, so lots of light but no sun directly. Winter indoors in front of east facing window. My gut tells me more water(now every 3 weeks, and we live in tn, daily temp 90ish. The bulbs feel slightly soft though so I'm nervous. Please help! I love my pony. Thank you.

You are my absolute favorite plant guy! Your videos have helped turn my black thumb into a green thumb! So grateful for you and the knowledge you share! Are these similar to maranta's care for? I just added one to my collection today, but it seems you don't have a video for them yet. It seems they are both part of the Marantaceae family, but wondering if there are differences in their care?

Well explained as usual. The curling, drooping and turning of the leaves makes very good sense. About cuticles on plants: i remember the summer of 2018: many plants, for example dandelions became red/purple and got very sticky leaves. Also interesting with the color of flowers. Thanks.
