Linjeflyg used the Fokker Fellowship on the ARN-VXO route. Made some HEL-ARN-VXO-ARN-HEL day trips. Felt like being a cannon ball on repeated ballistic curves. All I remember about th F28 is that it was on the smallish side with poor seating space. There was even an ongoing joke about Linjeflyg planning to rip out the seats and install straps to the cabin ceiling to hold on to, when standing through the flight. SAS started later to fly the route under its own brand and with slightly bigger MD:s.

You should join us in the flight deck in Ryanair for a video ‘Day in life of a low cost pilot’. ✈️

I would love that. If you know someone I should reach out to there to propose it, let me know! Introductions from within the company tend to help a lot!

I can't even imagine that you create these top notch videos while travelling and collecting content all over the world. Can't tell how blessed we are with your work. But I was completely blown away by your videos in Venezuela and the wideroe flights in the north. Thank you for pointing out the Ryanair Kids Face in front of the bulkhead seats..saw it yesterday, had to laugh 😂

Oh no it begins with Mälartåg! (to those out of Sweden, it's a regional train operator that has had so many ongoing operative incidents) LHs 747i from EU to Argentina, with all the expeditions down there. ARN sadly lost quite a bit of the long haul and Norwegian had some exotic direct destinations, I did fly with them but rebooked my OAK to NYC instead. Really wanted to do SJU. Anyways I did once see AY/FIN doing TYO-ARN or so last December! But that was due to the Finnish strike. AY could do HEL-HNL. Something personal I find, related to your constant travel, is that I can sit hours watching travel content, but the actual travel IS tedious! 10:30 that is nice and I prefer being a passenger when I can/want rather than being a professional in aviation. I think I should download a few videos for my 12+14h flights in autumn 😄

Haha yeah that's why watching travel content can be so nice, right? You get some of the feeling and excitement with none of the waiting, travel mishaps, frustration, exhaustion. I enjoy doing both (the watching, and the actual traveling) but need some non-traveling downtime too. As for Finnair I was so happy when they briefly started doing longhaul out of ARN, was very sad when it didn't last long (though not surprised, the planes were empty!)

Hi Gabe, wonderful video!. More of that. It is nice to know the behind the scenes of your work. An additional question: how do you choose a business class ticket? Which sites do you go to? Any advice on how to find the cheapest business class ticket?

Very nice format and to get to know a bit more about everything going on behind the scenes. When you answered the question what future destinations you have planned, I was hoping to hear Papa New Guinea and some bush flying with The Missionary Bush Pilot 🤞 Did you give that one any more thoughts? Again, I think that would be so cool! Both for you and your audience 👍

does one ever get bored flying on Qatar? I've flown on SAS to the point that I kind of just want to get on and go to bed, but maybe I'm missing out
@airedition6 ай бұрын
So far I have not gotten bored of flying Qatar haha. Though I do feel I should try others instead, if only for variety of videos.

Kind of a different question for you, Gade...I'm a bit of a student of language and I'm really curious where you did your English training? You have, I'm guessing, an almost Canadian accent for someone from Sweden. Anyway, love your content and use of the English language. 🙂
@airedition6 ай бұрын
Thanks Steven! I was actually born in New York so that explains my English (though I wish I could take more credit for it 😁). I grew up in Japan, the UK and the east coast US so that explains my somewhat hard to place accent, maybe!

What's your Star Alliance strategy going forwards after SAS' move? I status matched to Miles and More but of course they're notoriously stingy so would prefer to earn on another FF program. Back to Aegean for easier than most Gold?
