I have a question, if tartarus is seperate from sheol or hades, then why does Job 33 refer to unbelievers going into the "pit" several times? In Job, it makes it clear the pit and the grave are the same thing. Is it possible the bottomless pit is Tartarus and the old testament use of pit is sheol, Hades or the grave? [Job 33:18 KJV] 18 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

Tartarus is a prison like abased condition into which the disobedient angels of Noah’s day were cast. Tartarus denotes the lowest condition of abasement for those rebellious angels. The Scriptures show everlasting destruction is their own eventuality along with their ruler, Satan the Devil.

Ghenna, Lake of Fire, and the Botttomless Pit all looked to be the same place... It's unimaginably terrible and cannot be explained in words. Which made me wonder, is it worse for human spirits because it was made for angels or is it equally bad for both? But, take the Lord's Word for it, He REALLY hates wickedness... And as for Tartarus, you can see part of it every night, the angels which are chained... Everything that is in God's word is there for a reason as everything left out is left out for a reason, and there is definitely a reason the "planets" (as we know them) are not mentioned as such in God's Word with ANY reverence. Take it from me, if you try to find any truth apart from God's Word, you will only get lies. And I can't imagine what is going to happen even though I know it is going to happen. I just know anyone who witnesses what is to come will be too terrified to want their tuition money for their community college astronomy class back.

When i was a kid, i was told hell was the underworld prison where the souls of the damned await final judgment and punishment, and the lake of fire is the incense altar of the Lord in heaven, which they will be thrown into after the final judgment.

@@annonomus1439 well I agree with you. Paradise was Abraham's Bosom, the righteous side of Hades where the faithful dead went before Christ. The side of torment is still occupied by the unsaved and the dead who die without Christ go there immediately after death. Jesus took those in Paradise (Abraham's Bosom) to Heaven. And it is where us saved go after death. We will never experience the paradise side of Hades.

So what about the hell in heaven that is frozen? I understand there are also different heavens where angels are imprisoned, however i would like to know about the frozen hell in heaven and how it differs. Furthermore, when Adam and Eve conceived and bore offspring without pain in the garden did those offspring remain in the garden (since they themselves did not sin biting the fruit of the tree of forbidden knowledge only Adam and Eve did)?

They, as fallen angels, did not know that God had a plan that saves his creation from the from sin and death besides what the old testament said was coming. Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the old testament and died as a sacrifice for all. It was finished. I assume the truth was told to the fallen angels that rebelled against God. Our God saves. Jesus saved the world. What a message it must have been. BTW, I don't think there is any scripture that specifically states the full message of Jesus' sermon to the fallen angels. Jesus is awesome

So Sheol is the waiting building. There are 2 rooms in that building : Hades & AB/paradise. Jesus takes all who were righteous before the cross from AB/paradise to heaven. Making a stop in Tartarus (Mac security for rebel angels) to declare he has won. My question is - why in the bible do OT saints say that they do not want to go to Sheol. Surely Sheol is a great place - full of excitement and waiting - because it’s ‘paradise’ or ‘Abraham’s bosom’ ! I don’t get why so many verses are OT saints pleading not to go there

That's one reason I disagree with the video's point. It also doesn't make reasoned sense to me that the souls of the saved before Christ don't go to heaven since we know they were saved by grace through faith the same way we are, and they had regular sacrifices, which atoned for their sins the way Christ atoned for ours

I love this entire video and description of Hell and Hades, but I was under the impression that Hell was located at the center Core of the Earth the center core of the earth, is the heart of the earth Matthew 12:40 says, "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth". Num.16:33 “So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.”

TheRueuhy I’m guessing at the very end verse 23 Isaiah 66 22-23 “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh”. Not sure whether I want to go and view people in the torment of fire, but you must be able to see it. This is also why we should be honouring the Saturday Sabbath as well, as we will be observing this with God.

I think we have to wade into each man's teachings carefully. And, it must be said, the Holy Spirit is our real teacher. My thoughts/beliefs:- 1. When a born again (a righteous person) dies, his/her soul directly goes to Heaven, which is also known as Paradise or Abraham's bossom. 2. On judgement day, the righteous person's soul will enter the New Heaven (New Jerusalem). But when a pagan or unrighteous dies, 1. His/her soul goes to Hades/Hell (a place of torment). 2. On judgement day, his/her soul will be thrown to the Lake of Fire.

Are we sure that the captives mentioned in Ephesians 4 are those believers who were down in Paradise (Abrahams bosom)? How do we reconcile 1 Thes 4 when it says the dead in Christ will rise first? I was always taught that at the rapture their bodies (below) were joined with their spirits (above) however we know we receive new bodies so that doesn't make sense. Perhaps the dead in Christ are those in lower paradise?

I wanted to ask a question. Is eaten on Earth and if so it says there is an angel guarding the entrance with a flaming sword. I've seen a video on KZbin. Of the North Pole with the cloud vortex and in the vortex is a flaming fire. I believe that is where eden is and they say there is a mountain or a tree in the center and four rivers that flow from it...

Eden was in the Middle East in what's now modern day Turkey I believe. Between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. It's no longer there. It's simple to think that once the garden succumbed to creation it wasn't necessary to protect anymore or that it became a purely spiritual place defended but out of human reach.

Great video and explained very well. In your opinion, how much should be consider/rely on the description of places in the book of Enoch when investigating these places in canonical scripture? Enoch describes many of these places and is believed that this is where Peter is getting the belief of Tartarus. Although not Canon, Enoch does shed light on a lot of misunderstandings in scripture and only confirms what scripture is saying.

@Bible Bus 2.0 Yes I agree that we do Not go by the Hebraic Calendar, we go by Gregorian Calendar which is Roman Times because the Romans changed times and laws. Yes the Hebrews count the days from Evening to Evening. I get all of this. What I do Not get is the 3 days that Christ stayed in the Tomb, offered by Joseph the Wealthy Man. To Me something is Not right about this scripture or they only counted 1+1=3. Do you think that thr Romans could have changed the Times, Dates, Laws and Years ? There are so many scriptures that doesn't add up, when you try to match it with Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, ect... That is why I am trying to understand how it became 3 days and Not 2 days. Do you people even read the Bible? But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there)..

The story about the rich man and Lazarus is a KINGDOM PARABLE regarding the 2 Houses of Israel. The Rich Man is the southern kingdom of Judah, or the Jewish Nation after they return from Babylonian captivity. Judah had 5 brothers from Jacob-Israel and Leah (Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, and Zebulun). They had the royal line, they had the Levitical priesthood, they had the temple, they had all the gold vessels, they had the authority over the laity. They lived a sumptuous lifestyle. And Jesus blasted them for it, didn't he? "Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." Matthew 21:43 Lazarus, the poor man, was sent away into Assyrian captivity and they never returned. GOD said He would sift Israel (Northern Nation of Israel) into all countries. They would grow into a numerous people, all the while they were a divorced cast out people. Then GOD said in the place they would inhabit, the rebetrothal of the Nation would take place and they would come back into the covenant relationship promised to Abraham - This is Abraham's Bosom. (Hosea 1:10; Amos 9:9) What is the great gulf fixed? JESUS! The Jews were and still in rejection of Messiah. Lazarus, all 13 Tribes, on the other hand, accepted the Gospel of Salvation. Help me out here. Christ tells the thief on the cross that 'today you will be with me in Paradise.", but Paradise can't be heaven or even be in heaven because on resurrection morning Jesus tells Mary Magdalene "don't touch me because I haven't yet ascended to my Father." So where is Paradise then? If not in heaven, where? A part of hell? Abraham's bosom..... what the heck does that even mean? Back to my original question.....Where is Paradise? Some other realm? What I am hearing here and seeing is that Jesus took a a trip with the Thief to Paradise, Happy side, Gathered all those that Believed, went to the Pit and Preached, and then He took everyone with Him to Heaven, the new location of Paradise. At the time of Acts at Pentecost, it's not likely that the disciples understood everything that's happened prior - they just finally received the holy spirit (in Jesus' absence) and they had to begin to learn what was true for themselves as they looked back and put the spiritual pieces together... ... until that point, they had no more ability to know what was true than unbelievers - which is why they made big easy mistakes while Jesus was with them... b/c they had little no spiritual discerning other than what Jesus described to them personally.

Very clear details, except the Bible never really clearly teaches that millions of saints and Paradise itself in the heart of the earth were moved up into heaven. Yes, Revelation mentions the "Paradise of God" but it does not have to be the same Paradise at the center of the earth, they are just called the same, but they are 2 different Paradises. Just like the temple and altars in heaven that are mentioned in Revelation: there was the temple on earth and the one in heaven, also the tabernacle that Moses built was made as copy of what is in heaven, so 2 of them. Also Ephesians 4 does not mean saints were transferred from the heart of the earth to heaven. It says "captives", in verse 8: saints are not captive in Paradise. Captives refers to our previous condition, like Ephesians 2, captive in sin, death, desires of the flesh. Christ freed us from that through His death, resurrection and ascension and then made some of the captives as gifts to the church: prophets, shepherds, teachers, etc. as seen in verse 11. Those gifts are in the Body of Christ according to the context, not in heaven. The reference to Abraham and Isaac enjoying the feast does not refer to them being in heaven. The feast is in the kingdom, when Christ comes back to establish His 1,000 year kingdom. It does not make sense that God would prepare a specific place for all the dead in the heart of the earth, and then have Jesus resurrect physcially with a body, and then take millions or billions of disembodied spirits and move them with Paradise to heaven. No, all dead saints went to Paradise in the heart of the earth, and all saints who will die in the future will go there also. There they await to be resurrected from the dead when Christ comes back.

I find it interresting that the tartarus is not an idea unique to christianity and judaism, in greek pagan mythology the titans were a type of extremely wicked beings prior to the creation of man in their anthropogenesis, One of them being Chronos (uranus) who managed to chain them all to Tartarus, he was later slained by his son Zeus (Jupiter). Bottomline is they also had a concept of Tartarus, and a story of the deluge and Noah, which they called Deucalion.

I don't find that too crazy to be perfectly honest. Almost all religions, no matter how different, have some sort of paradise or some place that you would ideally go upon death, and some sort of underworld or hell. A lot of similarities can be seen because no matter how different most belief systems were created to serve the same purpose, to live the best life you can according to it's rules, and to reach whatever is considered "salvation." They really aren't all that different.

The Lake of Fire is a Symbolic place, also described as the second death. Unrepentant sinners, the Devil and even the Grave or Hades are thrown into it. The inclusion of a spirit creature and also of death and Hades, all of which cannot be affected by fire indicates that the lake is a symbol of everlasting destruction!

Yea, no one could enter God's presence before Jesus - so they had to go somewhere until Christ reconciled man into God's presence... otherwise someone else like Abraham or David would've been at the right hand of God, and had to step down after Jesus was crucified - which I can't imagine would be the case. So the 2nd thief goes to Paradise with Jesus on that day from the cross, and Christ reconciles old covenant Paradise with Heaven finally - in God's presence.

I get what you are asking ...as I have asked the same question, it all depends where the comma is put in the reply ...e.g. I assure you, today you we be with me in paradise as opposed to I assure you today, you will be with me in paradise. In essence I think it's great to be studying and trying to look futher into the bible and we should as long as we don't get hung up on questions that do not determine our salvation. P.S Looked up both NLT & KJV and they both read as on the actual day :) (I am by no means promoting myself as a well learned bible scholar!!!) Just keep on reading the bible and keep looking into things that you question :)

i believe since Hades is complete darkness (imagine being in complete darkness for days and then looking up at the sun), Lake of Fire is symbolic for the light of God which is His Spirit casting out the darkness in all men and killing off the old sinful man and purifying the wicked and non believers so they may live in His Spirit and enter the kingdom like the true Savior He is. just like how the bible says our old selves died on the cross with Christ so we are born again in The Spirit. no one actually feels pain or dies like Christ did though when being born again in Spirit lol. sometimes the bible is literal and other times not.

Its been a year so not sure if this is still of interest. My understanding is the the people Jesus took to heaven after his resurrection are in spirit form. Believers who have died will not get their bodies until the rapture (1Thes 4:13). Hope to get solid answers to all this one day soon!
