I feel like I was the only one who wasnt disappointed with WHY R U🤣 I get that there were a lot of chatacters and it got too much and confusing but for me the real story and plot got through despite that. I respect the show for what it is and what it did, it is one of the Only BLs where the chatacters dont refer each other as wife/husband, the Only BL where the top/bottom stereotypes didnt matter (cuz they were switching). Like Tutor was both "submissive" and "dominant". Thei sexual position where somewhat accurate to real gay couples, FighterTutor were a very versitile couple. And Zee srsly oudid himself as Fighter you couldn't tell he was a rookie. And it was really unfortunate to see the other couples get almost no screen time and development due to covid19.

I agree! When I watched the first episode, I wasn’t feeling Why R U, but I’m glad I stuck around because it quickly grew on me. I really enjoyed this show. I thought the chemistry between Saint and Zee was great, and they had some of the best intimate scenes. Their kissing was on point. I also really appreciated seeing how they were versatile in bed and the move away from labeling one person wife and the other husband. I’m so looking forward to BL moving more in that direction. Tommy and Jimmy were also great. ... Also really great seeing James Fagerlund in the cast.

WHY R U was my first bl and i wasn't disappointed with it at all since i fell in love with Saint Suppapong the first moment i saw him, i binge watched till ep 5 and then had to wait a week after week for another episode and i was so so excited, what i really loved is that they don't say i'm only gay for you, has 0 jealousy moments, no top bottom stereotype image, no wife mention, asking permission for pretty much everything, i don't know it's just so perfect to me. I also watched love by chance and reminders and the leaves only for Saint and i can't wait for Let's fight ghost. I don't like how bl fans put aside my fav show and couple just because delulus still want Saint back for LBCS2 (they didn't invite him for the teaser and that pained him, he said he loves the character so much and until this day he keeps promoting the series and the rerun on linetv, he is an angel, ok?) like in polls they add PS but not ZaintSee (THE DISRESPECT OMG). Anyway, i love thai bl dramas and i watched all the ones you mentioned and i agree with everything you said just not for WHY R U and i'd love if Saint is in another bl drama or maybe season 2 for why r u. But i think for the record, like about the first episode, they didn’t sugar coat it (they used darker tones and background music) to show that scene is serious - i think this is the part she mentioned as romanticizing rape. The writer,director and even the actors themselves explained it was there for it to be talked about and to raise awareness about it. Not that Tharntype the series is romanticizing rape. Maybe she thought its like that is because of other fans reaction when watching this Particular scene. For the other episodes (when tharn is being pushy before they became sexfriends) - i know a lot are not happy with Tharn when Type says No and I understand that specially if the basis is the video only , but i think for those who have read the novel - some might change their mind on the situation since the POV are written and can explain more on what is really going on for both characters. I guess its really depends on each persons bottomline(Viewer and reader) and character as well. I’ll also wait on your Tharntype Video.🙏✌🏻😊

Oh my gosh i love skam so much. I highly highly highly recommend it. The original is amazing but its also been redone by other countries like france and Italy. They kept the same basic story line but made it their own at the same time. 10/10 ngl

I really really hope we see a gl couple in the near future, even a side couple would be enough for me. Sotus kinda gave us one but only showed them in one short scene together, so I don't really count it. I don't know if companies/writers think there's no demand for it or what. There would be so much support for a gl couple if its actually written right

I learned several things about BL with this video. Ty. I think the most shocking realization was the fact that straight actors usually play gay roles. I felt the exact same way about LBC. It was my first BL series and I was hooked enough to rewatch the whole series several times. I've been patiently waiting for S2 and was thrilled with the reality. Until I found out that Saint wasn't going to be involved. Now, most days, I can't muster enough interest to even want to watch it, let alone be excited about it. Thanks for sharing. Blessed Be 💚

Same here abt lbc, i loveddd aepete's relationship, truly one of my otp. It's true that in the later part of the novel pete is abroad, but there's so much scenes that happened between the ending of lbc and the time that pete was to go abroad in the novel, i was so disappointed. But then again, the main focus of lbc s2 is tinxcan so it's not really their main priority? Still tho..

Hi dear, thank you very much for this interesting video. It's amazing and beautiful how everyone is so different in their opinions. Also your BL-GL drama sounds awesome!! 💗 What I wanted to comment is that what Love by Chance was for you, in terms of just freaking adoring it without being able to pinpoint why exactly, Why R U was for me. Obviously, it has so many issues, but somehow it just got me hooked from the end of ep 1, and it's kinda my happy place, and up until now no other story could compare. 💗💗💗 Concerning Love by Chance, I somehow didn't really like it the first time I watched it, but then I rewatched it with a friend, and I was so surprised when this time around I started to really like Ae, Pete and No's characters. I thought Perth and Mark did very well in The Stranded, as well, and I'm sad that we won't get to see Perth in BL anymore... BLs that I kinda felt let down by are definitely What the Duck 2: Final Call and TharnType. For What the Duck 2: Final Call, I hoped for SO much more conversation and character development for Pree and Rambo (but I never really follow along on what the actors of a series are doing, so I don't know if there were issues at the time of filming). For TharnType, since I thought Mew and Art performed outstandingly in What the Duck, I was super excited when Mew got an new series, but I was thrown off by the plot. Tharn's behaviour towards Type appeared very inappropriately intrusive, harassing and frankly border-lining abusive to me, especially considering Type's outspokenness about "hating gays" clearly showing deep-running issues and his panicked reactions every time Tharn invades his space. Then Type's suggestion to have sex with Tharn didn't make any sense to me, and I temporarily dropped the show around ep 7, only returning to watch the rest because it was so popular and I really wanted to like it. But I only liked small parts. Like the scene with Lhong and his sister. Concerning female characters in BL, I know there are many bad examples (which upsets me SO much)! But. I think recently there have been more and more interesting and well-written female characters. I liked ALL women in Trapped and Make Our Days Count (even Xiang Hao Ting's girlfriend), Yuri (and even Aim) in Love Sick (but Jeed was so bad), Yiwah and Fai in Together With Me (HATED Plern Pleng's mean b*tch stereotype though, and Prae was kinda a mess). I liked Hwahwa and Tongta in Why R U, Sandee in Kiss Me Again, Wan and especially Fay (Waii's girlfriend) in Water Boyy. Really liked the depth Phingphing (Way's girlfriend)'s character got in later episodes in The Shipper! One thing that really disappointed me in Tonhon Chonlatee was the return of the evil b*tch stereotype in form of Amp. Like, why?? Oh my, I didn't know I had this much to say... You just talked about so many interesting subjects in this video!!! Anyway, thank you again and all the best! 💗

My intro to BL is kinda like yours. I was on tumblr and I followed someone who spammed my tl with Why RU gifsets and what caught my eye was the Fight/Tutor love scene. I was like, 'what is that and where can I watch it?' I laugh at it now because even if that became my gateway drug to the BL universe, F/T turned out to be my non-fave couple on the show (Saifah Zon 4evah!) and probably in general. Yes to Ram King! First of all: Gunsmile is really one of my favs out there and I will shed tears of joy if he ever gets a bigger role in a series or a movie. And Secondly: There's another thing that reeeeally bothers me in Why R U that I haven't really seen being addressed, and that is the fact that as there are so many side characters and plot lines, we haven't had any conclusion for any of them. Like it's not anyone's fault that the series's ending had to be put in the way that it was because of current circumstances, but as we already know we'll have more SaifahZon scenes then... what about everyone else? Like HwaHwa and Day, Japan and Tanthai, Zol, Zen, Blue, Dew.... It's like most everything they did in the series was meaningless...

A lot of series have been filmed in the same university as Love By Chance, even the dorm is the same. TharnType and Reminders for example were shot there. Tum and Tar's house is also the same in TharnType as it was in LBC. edit: Agreeing with you, Singto is one of my favorites. Most of our answers are the same AHAHAHAHAHA! I’ve heard of the 2moons2 casting call issue before and when you said it. It just registered in my mind on how problematic that is! Like I’m so frustrated right now hahaha! I really agree on the female representation thingy. Another girl character I stan (aside from manaow and Yihwa) is Del of UWMA! In novel she ends up with P’ Alex (who’s Bi) I’m glad that they didn’t make it into an issue as it shouldn’t be IRL. Also, I love fan service too but I always take it with a grain of salt to stop me from being a delulu. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! BUT SOMETIMES IT’S SO DAMN HARD TO SEE THE LINE BETWEEN FAN SERVICE AND REAL LIFE!

Okay.. so i had this idea for a (bl-)series where a closeted guy auditions for a bl series. He gets the job and while filming he gets to know this other guy and comes to terms with his sexuality. He also begins to recognize that the series theyre filming has all these toxic bl tropes and to top it all of, the actor who plays his boyfriend is homophobic. In the end, with support from his real bf,he drops the series and goes out to the public to explain everything that is wrong with the industry. I didnt know where else to write that so i just did it here.😅 I hope it makes sense. English is not my native language...
