This is so true! I've had to sacrifice a lot of things to get to where I am today, and I'm very excited to keep working on improving!

I've had tap, jazz and contemporary classes on and off for the past 5 years, however I fell in love with ballroom and latin after watching the incredible technique it requires and your videos are great! I'm hoping to find a dance studio when I move next year for university because it would be an absolute dream for me to have the chance to compete professionally, especially after having to regain movement over the past year due to a back injury. Thank you so much for the great tips and videos!!

With my first pro comp around the corner on Saturday, there are so many things that resonate with me from this video. So many things I had already known and told myself that you helped reassure me of. Even though I haven't been dancing even 3 years yet and ofcourse am not fully ready to be a pro, there is no fear of not being good enough, but an excitement of using this to grow myself even more! Thank you for this video and also the video on expression. Both were perfectly timed!

Dakafire perfect timing! All the very best for your first pro comp! Thanks for the feedback and yes, always keep growing from the experiences using them a tool to reveal where to improve and what’s working.

Hey Ivan, Ik this is two years later but thanks for doing this comment, I always thought I would have to dance for like 10 years before I could actually compete proffesionally, but you starting in your third year gives me so much hope, thanks

Wow there are so many really great things you said in this! I'll definitely watch this more than once to keep reminding myself of what you said. I'll be able to get a job in about a month when I I turn 15 and I'll be spending all of it on dance lessons. It'll sound weird to all my non dancer friends but I don't really care all that much lol. Thanks again for answering me it really helped!

You’re very welcome! Here to help you! Write out your goals and post them around your room. I may make another video that helps with strategy to get to your goal.

I am 21 and I want to start 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I am super old 😂😂😂😂 But I am going to do it anyways, dance is a therapy to me, I wake up and go to sleep dancing 😂

I believe you can do far more than you know. Don’t overestimate what you can do in one year and don’t underestimate what you can achieve in 10. Most people get that backwards and stay stuck.

Hi! I have a question, what is your best advice for someone a lot younger who wants to get really good at ballroom but can't motivate themselves very easily. It's just ballroom dance is my passion/obsession. I feel so happy when I'm dancing and have always dreamed of becoming a proffesional someday but when I actually try and practice on my own I can't motivate myself all that easy :(

1 Year down the track...are you still dancing? If so that shows you have staying power. If you want to become Professional then you'll need to learn all the Figures at a deep level...is this something you want to do?
