Enjoyed your "taxation without representation" observation. Very useful. Not enough to write to reps, though. Must seize power. #Tarpley4FedHead, for example. (Webster G. Tarpley is a Hamiltonian for those who don't know.)

Janet is very fluent and knowledgeable not only about her subject of expertise (Structured Finance) but also about the nature of Wall Street. She comes off as very smart and mature. The interviewer on the other hand was petulant and rude.

So, what if I had invested in some of these mortgage derivatives via my pension fund, and now I buy a foreclosed home that was packaged in a derivative that I myself invested in unknowingly. How much money do I now get back on my mortgage derivative investment? It's a rhetorical question. I think I know the answer already. My actual question is how was/will it be determined what assets went with what bundle of bad loans and who the winners and losers are going to be when the dust settles?

I would like to know how Mr. Buffet (an insurance man at heart) did not see the fraud in the reports he received from his CEO at General Reinsurance concerning its business with AIG (prison sentence stuff). Mr Buffet was on top of everything but this? And does the insurance arm share information with the investing arm...something about insider trading or the like one step removed.

It's not about the program being an hour, or that the information is vital to our economic policy, it's the fact that this country is apathetic in everyway. If you think things are going to change without applying this type of knowledge to policy and reform then you should probably just keep taking your prescriptions and go back to sleep.

Dont blame the people that made money of a broken system. But go after the people that still make money of the broken system and make them stop. But first of all fix the broken system, and to fix a problem you have to know what is wrong. Much of the problem can be traced back to the Greenspan Put, and later the Bernanke Put. I blame the FED!

Back in 2008 when the bail out was done I too took my bail out and went into a 7 year default on all non-secured loans. Guess what I paid?

I paid nothing...out of six big financial institutions only one bearing their own icon came to my local court system to try to get their money. That was Discover. All the others gave up after two years, the ones she talks about, they then sold my credit to someone who failed to get a bill of sale. One tried to get money from me but failed due to the lack of information. The judge saw their witnesses Jane Doe and John Doe on Paper smiled and asked if they had a bill of sale. He gave them 9 months to provide one. Needless to say they banged their hand on the pulpit raising their voice to the judge demanding I pay something...Case Dismissed. I won and I wish all others would do the same and take these banks down. Just Quit Paying them for Un-Secured Loans. I still own my home, I still have a credit card and the end of the 7 years is here, Just as I am. Stand up America and do something. Funny how they want to give me money all over again too. Can you say round two. It is just too easy, don't you think?

Not that I know of. Sometimes one has to stand and say enough is enough, the sun will rise tomorrow and they can not take my birthday away from me. In matter of fact they can take very little and the only thing given is what one wants to give them. Thanks for asking.

Because of government intervention most people do not look after their money properly. The "moral hazard" applies to the depositor AND the banker. Money is nothing more than a temporary store of the value created in the economy by producing goods and services. The government and fed is in the process of inflating its way out of the mess at the expense of the taxpaying consumer. How will more money help a shrinking economy? It won't but create inflation! Too much money chasing too few goods!

Doesn't see see a moral hazard created by the FDIC limit? We don't scrutinize what the banks are doing with our money, that leads to a lot of shenanigans.. it's the moral hazard that allowed the banks to do whatever they want with our deposits - we're insured by FDIC, why should we care? Yet she wants to INCREASE the limit, thereby increasing the moral hazard? I think she contradicts herself over and over. She could learn a thing or two from Peter Schiff.

I admire her for speaking out, but she is overly cautious. She is choosing her words so carefully. She is riding a fine line between trying to call out the fraud, theft, and outright criminal acts that have caused so much financial and economic destruction and trying to protect the system on which her financial well-being depends. I don't really trust her because she is completely lying about the solvency of the FDIC.

And the market is soaring higher and higher. So much for this financial goobldegook. It was just a recession with a good recovery coming. Way to sell a fear book that is totally wrong and misleading.
