Can I just say that you are the most relatable minimalist/sustainability content creator I have stumbled upon. Sure, you might have more stuff currently than you’ve had before, but you also have different facets to your life, you work for corporate America which requires you to have professional clothes, you are a dog mom, and avid hiker, runner, climber, yoga teacher and all of these activities require activity specific gear. Don’t beat yourself up. Love your content! ❤

I feel the same way about minimalism. Sometimes I have more and sometimes less. It depends on how things are making me feel in that season of life and if having a lot of stuff brings me joy then I'm okay with it. Once it gets overwhelming I declutter

This made me think a bit... I am not a minimalist, except in clothes and make up, but I try to be intentional. I first stumbled on your van videos and then the hair videos also spoke to me. I cut mine last year due to breakage, and am growing it.... but what it is that draws me to your channel is what I was wondering about. I think it is that you are authentic and non-toxic and I am drawn to the intentional and mindful side of things. You are very enjoyable to watch. Ah, and I am inspired by your meals & healthy living, as well...so, you offer a lot of value to me, and I do appreciate it. 🌿💕

Yes, you are still a minimalist. Minimalism is “ownership skills”. Minimalism is applying awareness to how and why you own things. By definition, you are a highly self-trained minimalist! No doubt whatsoever :)

Great video! Minimalist lifestyle is definitely a personal thing! We are all in different spaces, different situations & at different ages, so minimalism keeps changing. IMO😊

I really enjoy your channel because you don't promote extreme things, and that you're mindful about things. I think that a key aspect of minimalism that tends to get forgotten or sidelined, especially for new people.

I actually preferred the minimalist videos from before on youtube where they actually have very few material items. But it seems like if people feel excluded they get offended. And so now when I search up those videos they’re not really minimalist to me. So I’ve lost interest in looking for those type of videos. It’s like van life/nomadic videos. Originally there were more people in regular vans traveling encouraging getting outdoors. Now it’s bombarded with the focus on van builds that are over $100,000. So Now it’s like a needle in a haystack finding real nomad living people. I can go on and on. People who are vegan. It used to be pretty much plant-based. But now vegans are eating processed boxed food all the time. And it’s more expensive than regular food. I think there should be clear-cut divides.... all these changes encourage spending more. Even with the minimalist videos (sorry for the rant

I love your down to earth honesty and your comprehensive reasoning when answering the subscribers questions, Rebecca. There were a good mix of questions too. Just wanted to add that I adore Ronald L. Banks content as well. I think he is amazing and it’s great he’s now a dad.

Great video, Rebecca. I always love watching you. Would love to see Gypsy's sweet face...maybe you could bring her in for a cameo at the end of every informative video. 😉She's usually in your vlogs, of course. ♥ I love your take on minimalism - to have only what you need and what brings you joy. I have not previously considered myself a minimalist because I love bright colours and lots of decor that brings me joy. Your living room wall just cries out for a lovely painting, for example. But that's just me and you obviously love the clean lines of a bare wall. So it's awesome that we can both be considered minimalists. For me, it's having only as many functioning items in my house as I need, the out-of-sight stuff. I have empty kitchen cupboards because I keep just what I use regularly. I am still paring down my possessions, bit by bit, since I would love to have a tiny house to live in of about 400-500 sq. ft. My current apartment is about 750 sq. ft. But wherever I live, I will always have lots of pictures on the walls. LOL Sorry for the rambling. I just wanted to say that I appreciate that you understand that there are different types of minimalism. Thanks again for sharing. ♥♥♥
