Mr. Bird, thank you for your Bible-based explanation of Christmas. I am a teacher of religious culture and ethics in a primary school. I live in Diyarbakır, Türkiye. and I have been reading on the Christian doctrine of Salvation. In particular, I would appreciate it if you could share any studies you might suggest regarding the doctrine of Logos, Recaputulation, and Apokasastasis, which are among the works of the church fathers on this subject.

Thank you!! I should have numbered my questions. They were two separate questions. The latter you answered. My first dealt with recent writers referring to the playful personality of Jesus in his interactions with his disciples. It almost seems to demean him in some way. Yes, he certainly had a good sense of humor, and yes he was disruptive, but referring to him also as a "beautiful outlaw" seems to possibly disrespect his sinless humanity and person.

What do you make of Ken Wilson’s book on the foundation of Augustinian-Calvinism? I find it persuasive.

Is the creed of Jesus, the Shema (Mar 12.29), a trinitarian statement of faith?

Mark 13.32 has the person of "the Son" as its subject not some impersonal human nature.
