I can relate. I studied medicine in Cuba for seven years, and then went to Brazil for two months to obtain a certification in management of sickle cell disease. I also spent three months in Switzerland for medical training. After that, I lived in Hawaii for one year, worked for various NGOs in Haiti, and now I am living in Florida. Believe me, I understand what it's like to move around a lot.

Love, love your vids and your style. Giving a little more personal information as you're comfortable with, will increase the subscribers. People seem to love feeling like they've got a friend in the folks they subscribe to.

Hello, I'm retired U.S. Army. I spent seven years of my military career living in Germany. First, I'm going to address what you said about learning the language. To me, it was very difficult. After taking German for four years in High school, living with my step dad who is half German, and living in the country for seven years, I still can't speak the language fluently. That's how difficult a language it was to learn for me. I totally don't agree with anyone giving you are hard time about learning it. I believe that the hardest part for us Americans to grasp about the German language is the grammar and how the sentence structures are the complete opposite of American English. Their sentence structures made absolutely no sense to me, which made it extremely difficult for me to learn and speak the language coherently. Until this day, I still have German friends in Germany who try to help me with my German and I still have a very hard time grasping the language. Good luck with your efforts to learn it.

Would love a video on your job seeking experience in Germany. ❤ I’m currently doing my master’s in the UK, but previously got to German C1 after being in a language school for a year. But I’m really confused and am struggling to find a job in Germany currently :((

I've mentioned this periodically throughout some of my German vids but my best friend is LinkedIn. Outside of this I don't have too much knowledge on job hunting out here so I can't make a video on it sadly.

Thanks for the Q&A, Zoie! I've been watching you for a while and love your content. Germany is on my list of countries to visit. I wish I would've studied abroad or had the courage to move abroad.

To continue. I also happened to live and visit every area that you lived in and visited in Europe. I visited Austria and Berlin. I loved Austria, but I didn't care much for Berlin. I also lived in Stuggart , Frankfrut, and Worms. For me, if I were to move there to live permanently, my choice would be for Worms. Worms is a beautiful small town, where because of it's size I found it a lot easier to communicate with, socialize, and get acquainted with the locals and their customs. Plus, I found the people in the smaller towns to be a lot friendlier, and the lifestyle to be a lot easier. Since Worms is in the center of the country, traveling to any location was a lot easier also. Despite my difficulties in learning the language, I have to admit that if I could live anywhere else in the world outside of America, my choice would be Germany. I don't blame you for choosing to live there. I think that it's one of the most beautiful countries in the world. With the friendliest people and the best food to boot.

Hi Zoe! Do you mind sharing what you think a good budget is for a wedding? I'm in Europe so the range in Euros is okay!
@ZoieMarie
@ZoieMarie 4 ай бұрын
For me, I think a good range would be 19-25k EUR excl honeymoon and dress/suit as this depends on individual style. When I researched via friends how much they paid in DE for their wedding of more than 50 guests less than 90 it fell in the 15-20k range. Hope that helps!

Do your own makeup. You do a pretty good job. Don’t forgot if it’s a hot destination wedding you will melt, do a natural look etc.

With the current political environment do you feel safe and welcomed in Germany? Have things gotten better or worse since you first moved?

At the moment I do! Berlin I feel no form of aggression or tension but outside of Berlin could be a different case, I have no clue.
