I was going to say the same thing, I have an oven & a stove but I hardly use them, I have a large toaster oven, an airfryer, an instant pot, a kettle, and a couple of induction burners... it worked perfectly... and over the summer doesn't heat up the whole house... Enjoying the videos & the process from 🇨🇦

Thank you for sharing some of your back story. You are clearly a lovely couple who love, appreciate and respect one another both personally and during the normally stressful process of building renovation. I watch you refurbish your home as much for the generous way you work together as for the twists and turns of the project. You deserve every success together.

Greetings from Louisiana USA. Happened across your channel and was hooked. My husband and I both started watching. You both remind me greatly of us when we first married in 1990. We didn't flip homes, but did buy houses that needed work. You will learn a lot, and enjoy it while you do. Keep it up. Looks great. Having someone who is a jack of all trades is great, isn't it. Saves a ton of money.

Love watching your progress, so pleased that you are demonstrating that people in their twenties can achieve great things and show such maturity. Great to see you having a go at DaVinvi Resolve, I picked it up last year having never touched videography and its so pleasing seeing the final results. Can't wait to see the completion of the house, but you will have such fun getting there.

My neighbour has an old one like that and they look so cool, we just built a modern one, would highly recommend some big ol' raised beds as your planters! Also prune the grape this winter and it'll fruit much better next year, we have 2 big vines and fresh grapes are the best!

The inspo boards you showed look gorgeous, the house is going to be (even more) stunning when you’re finished ❤ Louis, you are far too hard on yourself! As someone who also didn’t vibe with education, the fact that you’ve taught yourself all these skills is really inspiring. Milly, feeding zoo animals after school sounds like such an amazing experience! It must’ve been terrifying getting caught up in the Arab spring stuff 😮 I’m glad you and your family made it out safely!

The electrocution bit is scary. A nail in the wall is innocuous, you would never know , and I bet most people would just get it out , and you end up on your back, its a good job it wasn't serious. Things like that scare me though because it's so random you could be doing that and then not here, its not something most people would think about safety as such because its just a nail. Must have been because the electric into the house at the time was quite weak for the size of the house as I seem to remember them doubling it up. Scary though

QUESTION: The doorway behind you, that you uncovered when you demoed that room, it backs up to the main staircase. That must mean that the main staircase is not original and must have been added sometime later. I think you mentioned in one of your earlier videos that the 2nd staircase didn't have an entrance to one of the floors. Can you please talk a little more about the staircases and what you think the original configuration might have been? Thanks!

Nice choice of background of the door and the window that you renovated with the sandstone. Thank you for a small snippet of your history. Such a nice couple. You mentioned in one of your other videos that you would be looking into the history of the house and posting that. I know you mentioned that it was a doctors house who had installed those black doors for a waiting room. That was a nice choice that you took those out to expand that area to its original state. You also mentioned that it was a bishop’s house purchased by a church and even had pews in it that you took out that we’re not original. Who originally built the house and was it for a family? I’m pretty sure I’ve watched all your videos but if I missed more history, please let me know.

I moved into a two bedroom flat. Not big and when I was getting my kitchen done, I just lived off my ninja foodi 15 in 1 so easy, you just have one pot to clean and you can literally cook anything in it. I don’t even use my oven now, I’ve lived here 3 years now and used my oven probably 4 times and that was only because I wanted to make a huge lasagna (Usually I also cook that in the ninja as well) and the other times for friendsmas and was cooking loads of different elements.

This first question might be a bit too late, i'm still catching up as it is but some of the wallpaper on the walls looked really beautiful, will you be preserving some of it and incorporate it into your interior designs ? An idea for the stained glass window: How does a window with some grape vines and some autumn leaves sound the warm colours of the autumn leaves might give some warm reflective light combined with the cooler colours of the grapes creating a comforting homey feel to the cellar or wherever the light shines ? Love your videos from 🇿🇦.
