Bread and Elektra recording company made a great and perfect move when they brought in Larry Knechtel by replacing Robb Royer because Larry is a seasoned studio musician and he also made his band Bread even stronger according to David Gates.

David Gates. He is one of the best singer song writers from the sixties seventies' his voice is very unique .I met David in the seventies' In San Diego California. It was a Pleasure talking with him Very nice Man. My favorite song of his Is ( IF) .and the one he wrote about his late Father Clarence Gates .(Every Thing I own).A very Touching song .Take care David.
