Simply beautiful !!!!! this guy pours his heart in every word he sings, excuse my english it´s no the best and trying to express my feelings is even harder,I am from colombia ,never had been abroad but i grew up listening to this amazing music that has taken me to many places ,to many special moments ,to smile remembering those women who loved me i loved back, those friends who for a long period of my childhood and adolescence were family to me, every song brings back different moments of my life and when that happens ,some of them make me happy and some others make me sad and nostalgic ,but that is life and music has helped me at the age I´m now to get by,I Would love to take it with me to eternity where I Hope to reunite with my loved ones and friends that have already departed,I Thank music for being my eternal good and faithfull companion

David Gates solo is a pleasure. Gates and James Griffin together equals magic. Especially when you bring in drummer extraordinaire Mike Botts and the musical excellence of Larry Knechtel! Bread remain the finest Soft Rock band ever yet their rocking more uptempo material is criminally underrated.

@@jlockwood65 Like EVERY single Uptempo,"raunchy" Bread song, because they're unfamiliar to the public. For those who want to sing along All your life you've waited for love to Come and stay And now that I have found you, you must Not slip away I know it's hard believin' the words you've Heard before But darlin' you must trust them just once More, 'cause baby Goodbye doesn't mean forever Let me tell you goodbye doesn't mean We'll never be together again If you wake up and I'm not there, I won't Be long away 'Cause the things you do my Goodbye Girl Will bring me back to you. I know you've been taken, afraid to hurt Again You fight the love you feel for me instead Of givin' in But I can wait forever, a-helpin' you to see That I was meant for you and you for me so remember Goodbye doesn't mean forever Let me tell you goodbye doesn't mean We'll never be together again Though we may be so far apart you still Will have my heart So forget your past my Goodbye Girl 'Cause now you're home at last

OK, So here is the deal with David Gates and Bread: As good as this music is, when they were popular in the 70s, if you were a guy in your teens, 20s, even 30s, you'd get laughed at and called names (politically incorrect ones) if you admitted to liking Bread and/or Soft Rock in general. It just wasn't considered manly, as stupid as that is. But, I have no doubt there were many guys like myself who liked it anyway, although we just didn't admit it. And being able to appreciate it more now, they were musical geniuses. The songwriting, the guitar playing was fantastic and David's singing of course. Before music videos, MTV and VH1, they were played on the radio ALL THE TIME, which indicates how good they were, whether people wanted to admit it at the time or not.
