The Holly spirit brought the I am scriptures to my mind to reveal this to me when I wasnt even thinking of it but week or so prior. God bless you and show you. I viewed all things in the World impossible to be without HIM . truth be told This is %100 true. They are not one. Trinitarisnism is pagan and even in Egypt, Isis, Horus, Seth. The Trinity was in most pagan religions on the time of antiquity and was very common. I am in a part of the country where we are still not allowed to congregate. So I very much love to and am grateful to, learn what I can from online sermons and am quite fond of Dr. Barnett. I have been told it's important to know the fellow believers where you live and to spend time with them for a number of reasons. Our Bible tells us as much in probably more than one spot but what I found quickly by a google search is Hebrews 10. It talks about us congregating together. It's great to be able to get so much from this man but he cannot provide the fellowship we get from a local body of believers (so I have been told) Apparently. If I'm lying I am dying but the first weekend I was finally ready to give it a chance they closed down church's all around the state. I don't think too deeply into it like it's some kind of supernatural punishment or judgement or what have you but I do regret being apprehensive, procrastinating, and avoiding it for the first few years I have decided to seek the truth of God and give my life to Christ. So now I am anxiously waiting for this "Bible fellowship" church (it's what the sign out front says) so I can meet with local believers. Hope this helps. God bless

Dr. Barnett uses the NKJ version to read from. The one Jesus read from he referenced is called the Septuagint the Greek translation of the Old Testament.

The trinity is a false doctrine. Acts 2:38 is the birth of the church, the only way to be saved. Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead.

Only ONE problem with the "exposition" being presented about the "trinity", there ain't no "trinity" TAUGHT in the Bible. It is a 4th Century CONTRIVANCE of the Roman Catholic Church. The Christians, both Jewish and Gentile, which immediately followed the Apostles NEVER HEARD about a "trinity" because the Apostles NEVER TAUGHT such a "doctrine".

No revelation is in symbols and this is referring to North, South, East and West. It is not just 4 angels holding back the coming judgment. Compare Rev 19:11--21. It is all the faithfull angels. Members of both groups are yet to be gathered before the coming "Great Tribulation". Rev 7:3--17.

When ,in Greek ,they are speaking of Jesus as the Son of God. Each time the word used is "huios" which means "heir" and never written as "teknon" which means descendant ,son He was the Heir. In all ways equal to the Father. Thank you Doctor Barnes. I enjoy most of your teachings. Most I agree with but there are two or three things that really bothered me. Gary Russell I agree- I cannot fathom an idea that cannot explain how many times Jesus prayed to his father.. not himself.. his father speaking at his baptism that he approved of Jesus, his so , while his spirit ascended like a dove..right at Jesus baptism we see the son and father are son and father- not one. Jesus said it was not his place to know the time and the hour and that he was doing the work of the father that sent him.. I wish they would realize they never cover this fully Trinity is triune The Israelites seen his miracles and still doubted- we read and come up with our conclusions

He did know He was the "lamb of God" When He spoke to Pilate He said "I have the authority to lay My life down and I have the authority to pick it back up again. We are not to know or worry about certain specific times but to recognize the signs of the times that come. When Peter denied, when Judas betrayed etc. When He read about all the things that were to happen to Him don't you think He might have been afraid to carry on ? He was God so He did know. And being God He could pray to the Father and get sustainment and strength .He knew everything so He knew what was coming. That He had the strength and determination to do only the Father's will and not His own. May we all try to confirm to the Father's will and May the Peace of Christ rule in your hearts. He has many things to do as a man... be our example, die for our sins, create the church. He went back to the Father in Heaven but as a man he had to contend with the flesh and everything that comes with it. That is the biggest thing, being free of sin as a man. No flesh so no sin enters Heaven only spirit. But He always was and is eternal in Heaven. Call it what you want but the three, separate entities, have always been and are eternal and together always. Christy wasn’t praying to himself just as God doesn’t talk to himself but together... they all are Holy and all are eternal and without Sin, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent.

Actually it was just a factual error - the verses in question were in Latin bibles at the time but not in the Greek manuscripts he had access to. The story goes that he said if there is one Greek manuscript with the verse, and someone presented him with one, so he added it in.

Might be a good idea for you to acquire a new hobby if studying the bible has been a long and pleasing passion for you. As a professor your interpretations of some of the scriptures will leed a lot of people in error because of what and how you teach. This is not a personal attack against you. But your doctrine or your edification on certain scriptures is not correct. We as believers must test the spirit and be as the Bereans and search the scriptures precept upon precept line by line here a little their a little and not put our faith in man to provide for us answers or revelations but have faith in the Spirit to give to us revelations that will guide us in our quest for wisdom to comprehend and understand. The Spirit will send to a person an angel ( malach ) ( messenger ) who will have wisdom to explain the things one will need to know.
