I'm from Indiana also, a little town called Albion. It's near Chain of lakes state park and Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Sherry (sorry if I spelled that wrong) when you said pork tenderloin sandwich I was like YES! That's what I miss that and tell people to be sure to try one. Fall is a wonderful time in Indiana. That and when lightning bugs are out. It's amazing to watch them over the bean or corn fields! Magical! Thanks for answering all of the questions!

I pray for your mom every day. Fighting ovarian cancer myself so I feel a kinship to her. My oncologist in Sacramento, CA says the chemotherapy for ovarian is very effective. I finished chemo 4 months ago, so am at the stage where they really watch it closely. God is in the miracle business! He will get her through this. Stay strong mama! Joan in Calif ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Julie, I’ll add you to my list of people I pray for daily. Hang in there. Your last treatment will be here before you know it. I took a 7 day cruise two months after end of chemo with a bunch of good friends and did pretty good. I’m glad it wasn’t any sooner, took that long to get my strength back enough to tackle walking around a ship. I did stay on the ship for the last two ports and went to the Sanctuary. Chemo brain still a thing though. Lol, so frustrating when you have absolutely no memory of something. Like remembering a conversation but no clue who it was with. 😻

Fostering a dog might work for you guys. The foster org you work with pays for food and all boarding needs whenever you go out of town. So boarding is free to you. Just a thought. I also want a dog so bad, and also love the freedom of not having to figure out and pay for boarding when we take spontaneous weekend or any trip. Fostering is a happy medium for that. I hear what you're saying about the amazing thing about having discounts!!! When I was a seasonalCM at Disney I took 5 Disney cruises on my cast discount and have since had 2 full priced ones since post COVID restart. Paying full price really really hurts!!!! If I had a Princess discount, I would be on that all the time!!!!!

My husband & I are on the same page. No kiddos, no debt, in a 1100sq.ft. home in Florida and we couldn't be happier. Travel is amazing, but being intentional is key. Oh and not to mention, with this home equity and a 15 yr loan at 2%, they may have to bury me here 😅!! So glad mom is doing well. &&&&&&& Sherri, I have officially entered my Sarah J. Maas era. 🤭

Thanks so much for doing this one. Love your concept of “seasons of life”. Going through an odd down time myself & it’s very nice to be reminded I’ve gotten through 100% of the bad days! 😉 Agree with the positive thought of getting through the rougher times, but now that I’m actually admitting I’m getting towards old (just turned 60 you spring chickens, lol) I’ve realized for me it’s mostly been about trying to adapt to changes, esp bad changes, in good ways. And yes, hopefully making some great plans to travel! (And, erg, tidying a lot…) If vlogging still does make you happy from time to time, but you’re not going too far, gotta say I love your local vlogs and indeed your house fixings and also shopping & cooking! You really motivate me to organize, and to use my air fryer 😀 Even working on getting back to regular reading. Also, I’d love to visit Anchorage, so the more local sights the better. Literally never find your doings dull, no matter what you’re up to. I hope you do visit the Bay Area, my home, very soon! Weirdly I haven’t been to the Disney Family Museum, though I’ve wanted to for a very long time. (The things one lives near usually fall down the list, I believe you’ve noticed that 😉) I may have mentioned this before, but want to say (again) I worked a long time with a history prof of early modern Britain, and that is his favorite museum. I don’t even think he goes to the parks, he just loves & admires it as a place. I’ll make it a goal to get there ahead of you 😀 All the best to you, and especially to your mom. ❤

It’s based on the story of Tim Ballard, someone I’ve had the privilege of meeting, and the work of OUR is significant and critical in todays world.
