Hey man, thank you so much for what you do. Even when I don't agree, I always appreciate your love and respect for this art form. Yay you!!! Thank you!!!

Thank you for making videos on stories about Broadway and musical theatre. I would like to hear more stories about Tony Award "upsets" in the top categories (shocking wins and losses). I would like to hear stories on musicals that both changed Broadway and musical theatre (and didn't get the recognition for it), and didn't get the film adaptation it fully deserved (like "A Chorus Line", "The Producers" and "Rent"). I would also love to hear more stories about musical productions (like "Sunset Boulevard"). P.S.: I'm still angry that Paramount isn't making the movie version. I know in my heart that Glenn Close would've finally gotten her Best Actress Oscar for this performance!

I am so grateful for this channel. I appreciate your deep dives into everything. Please keep doing what you do! P.S. I am obsessed with Patti Lupone in Gypsy. I remember listening to the soundtrack and saying “whoever directed this is a genius. Everything lands.” Then I looked it up and it turns out Arthur Laurents directed it. Amazing.

Hi Kevin, thanks so much for your channel, and for this fun glimpse behind the curtain. If you are looking for episode ideas, I’d love to see an exploration of Great Comet. I think it was such a fascinating, moving, immersive theatre experience, and a great behind the scenes story from its indie beginnings to Tony contender heights to its closing amid controversy. And it was such an elaborate production that I don’t know if people will ever get the chance to see it as it was presented on Broadway originally. I’m a big fan of classic Broadway so I was dragged to this show kicking and screaming, but it ended up being one of my top 5 theatre experiences ever. If you ever get around to it, I’d love to see your take on it. Thanks for doing what you do.

I just stumbled onto your channel and I just have to say Sir … I LOVE IT 😍. I love your take on things and I usually agree. I used to go to NYC three to four times a year. Sometimes just to saturate myself in theatre 🎭 and run on the joy it brought me for a couple of months. I wish I had met you back then, it would have been so great to fly in and go to the theatre together. Keep up the great work. 💝 SWEENEY TODD is my favourite. Oh I love SUTTON FOSTER please do an episode on her. Your channel brings me joy. Oh and I love your voice. Okay I’ll stop acting like a spazz sorry 😣 😘

Love this. Nice to have a face to go with the voice! Haven't watched the whole episode yet so maybe you answered this but why is the channel called "Staged Right"? I am a theater arts major but have worked primarily at social justice work. The 2021 version of West Side Story is my all-time favorite movie musical - I saw it 7 times in a movie theater! My favorite musical is Chess, particularly Chess in Concert (especially Adam Pascal!). I wish for a new revival but only if they cast it right!

Thanks for watching. I came up with "Staged Right" as a play on words. I think I had some long-winded explanation about addressing the contradictions of getting something 'right' in the theatre. I also think it was April 2020, I was stuck at home, and needed a snappy title. X

Your channel is brilliant! I'm a Kiwi Theatre Geek. I'd love to see an episode on Sweeney Todd, and on Sutton Foster. (My 2 cents worth). Thank you for your time and passion. ☺️

Hi! I'm new on your channel, can you do a video about Gwen Verdon's career the way you did with Patti Lupone? Or a video about Pajama Game how that show make the perfect vehicle for Shirley MacLaine's career? I'm really not that connected about Broadway stuff but your channel is pretty great! Don't stop to make videos!

Please continue doing videos!!!! I love them a lot!!! In your Streisand episode, you plugged Be Kind Rewind which I watched religiously!!! I was hoping for a youtube channel that talks about theater and Broadway just like Be Kind Rewind because theater is my joy and lo and behold I found your channel!! Thank you for this, for your effort and passion. Keep going!

Ring of Keys was such a risky move by the producers, possibly putting off some potential audience, and putting the themes of the show front and centre, and i'm thrilled that they did. Sydney Lucas' performance is something that I go back to watch. Such a mature performance and it made me want to go and see, more than i did before.

I discovered your channel a few days ago and just wanted to say how much I appreciate it. It's been so fun watching through your videos. As a Canadian musical theatre lover I'd be so curious about a video around the history of musical theatre here or something like a deep dive into the Stratford Festival. Maybe too niche for your audience? But it'd be fun, anyway!
@StagedRight10 ай бұрын
It's been something I've wondered about. A bit niche. I thought about a Garth Drabinksky/Livent episode ages ago which frankly was a bit depressing and infuriating to read about. I have some Canadian music theatre thoughts on shows like Anne, Drowsy, and CFA, thoughts that are ultimately positive but also objective in a way that some may misconstrue as negative. Vague, I know. Let me percolate. Thanks for watching! X

Omg am I glad I subscribed. You have impeccable taste. And it matches mine! Lol We need more Alex Newells for sure, but there is only one! I saw Lupone, Peters, Lavin and Daly as Rose - Tyne was my favorite but all were great. Curious if you loved Schmigadoon as much as i did/do? As well as your thoughts on Crazy Ex-girlfriend and Zoe's Extraordinary Playlist? They hit me in my musical theater groin and I can't help but love them.

I saw your staged right episode of patti lupone...I'm a huge fan and I love and respect her so much...but could you consider doing a video dedicated to Bernadette Peters? 👀 she has quite an expansive career alongside being a sondheim staple...and I love and respect her just as much as patti!

What are your thoughts on the live presentations of musicals specifically staged and filmed for TV? I would love to see Streisand cast as Dolly in a live TV broadcast. It could be called "Hello, Dolly! Am I old enough now, bitches?!"
